IHG Opens Beachfront voco Hotel on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah

IHG is bolstering its presence in Dubai by opening a new hotel in a prime area.

138-room voco Dubai The Palm Now Open

The voco Dubai The Palm is located on the Palm Jumeirah’s West Beach and has 138 rooms and suites. Amenities at voco Dubai will include private beach access, a 24-hour fitness center, and meeting spaces.

Rooms range from a 323 square foot twin deluxe room with Palm Jumeirah city views to a more than 600 square foot beachfront king room with a terrace-style balcony.

The hotel features a rooftop pool and Mediterranean lounge bar opening early next month. Another dining option, an all-day restaurant, will open later this month featuring Belgian cuisine.

IHG has a sizable presence in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates’ most populous city, with 2 dozen properties spread across the city and emirate. Other brands in IHG’s portfolio include several InterContinentals, Staybridge Suites, and a Hotel Indigo.

If you aren’t familiar, voco is part of IHG’s premium collection, including HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, and EVEN Hotels. The voco brand emphasizes individualized service and high-quality touches, such as eclectic bars and comfortable rooms.

To celebrate the opening, the hotel has launched a promotion called “A New Playground Is Here,” offering a savings of 30% on all introductory hotel bookings. Additionally, the chain says IHG One Rewards members will receive 25% off on dining at voco The Palm Dubai.

The hotel will participate in the IHG One Rewards loyalty program, meaning guests can earn and redeem points at the property. Rates at the new voco start at 19,000 IHG One Rewards points per night, depending on the season.
