The freshest — and hottest — W property has officially opened its doors in Dubai.
Set on the ever-popular Jumeirah Beach coastline, the luxurious W Dubai – Mina Seyahi sets out to capture all that is quintessentially Dubai.
“Local and international tastemakers with a passion for music and design will experience Dubai’s bold spirit through the W lens at W Dubai – Mina Seyahi,” said Tolga Lacin, Area General Manager at W Hotels Worldwide.
Here’s what you can expect from a stay at Dubai’s hottest new property.
The W Dubai – Mina Seyahi Is Now Open
The W Dubai – Mina Seyahi‘s opening precedes a couple of other high-profile openings for Marriott‘s W brand. The W Algarve is set to open its doors on May 2, 2022, and the W Sydney is scheduled to welcome guests from the end of 2022.
The Property
A real selling point for this brand-new W hotel is that all of its 318 rooms and 27 suites face the sea and have a private balcony.
On the 30th floor is the 3,000 square-foot “Extreme WOW Suite” featuring 2 bedrooms, a lounge, a dining area, and, of course, a balcony with incredible views over the city.
Guests should have no trouble discerning that the W Mina Seyahi’s roots are firmly in the United Arab Emirates thanks to elements including the lobby (known as the W Lounge) that pays homage to a traditional Middle Eastern souk.
“Through the hotel’s immersive art, social happenings, thoughtfully curated music, visionary dining concepts, and its legendary Whatever/Whenever® service philosophy, guests can expect modern luxury delivered in a completely unique, surprising way,” said Lacin.
True to form for the brand, the hotel will put on DJ sets each evening for its guests.
On the second floor, daytime party animals can check out Ginger Moon — an indoor-outdoor space offering an all-day club experience complete with an infinity pool.
For something a bit more relaxed, check out the WET Deck, where you can lounge in a cabana and soak up the scenes of Dubai’s famous pool scene.
Scheduled to open in June 2022, ATTIKO will be the rooftop lounge and restaurant that the hotel hopes will become the next big thing in Dubai. Offering eclectic cuisine and an all-encompassing beverage menu, you’ll be able to enjoy sundowners and party the night away.
And in 2023, the hotel plans to officially open Malakite — an 86,000-square-foot beach club in a private-beach setting complete with a 50-meter pool. It’ll offer live performances throughout the day and indoor space for partying at night.
Cash rates for stays in May range from about $350 to just shy of $700 per night. If you’d like to use Marriott Bonvoy points, rates go from 79,000 to 95,500 points per night, depending on the exact dates.
Final Thoughts
The W Dubai – Mina Seyahi looks like it will have no problem epitomizing the modern, quirky luxury you’d expect from a W hotel. And, we love that this global brand took extra care to incorporate local culture, cuisine, and design into its newest property.
We’re dying to check it out — hopefully, it won’t be too long before we have a full review for you to read.
