World of Hyatt members, rejoice. As of October 15, 2026, members can now transfer points digitally to another World of Hyatt member directly through Hyatt’s official website.

This change eliminates the existing PDF form and email process, making it significantly easier (and faster) for travelers to move points between accounts when planning hotel stays.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Digital Points Transfers Now Live

As of October 15, 2026, World of Hyatt members can now initiate points transfers to other members directly through Hyatt.com, rather than relying on the previous, cumbersome process.

Previously, members who wanted to transfer points to another World of Hyatt member had to complete a point combining request form and submit it by email. Though it was not complicated, it required additional steps and was inconvenient for travelers who wanted to move points quickly.

This new digital option simplifies the entire points transfer process. However, World of Hyatt members will need to check Hyatt’s official terms for transfer rules, including any eligibility requirements, restrictions, or transfer limits.

What This Means for World of Hyatt Members

For World of Hyatt members, this is a huge win. If anything, the most immediate benefit is convenience, particularly for members who regularly combine points for strategic redemptions. By moving the process online, Hyatt is making an important loyalty program function more convenient and accessible.

For example, a member with a relatively small points balance will now be able to combine their rewards with another member’s to help toward a hotel stay. The new, straightforward transfer process will make it easier to coordinate travel plans.

Hot Tip:

Now that World of Hyatt members will be able to transfer points online, it is a good time to check out our in-depth guides on the best ways to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points for maximum value.

How To Transfer Hyatt Points Between Accounts

The new point transfer process is as simple as promised. Simply navigate to this page on the Hyatt website and select Gift Your Points.

From there, you’ll need to sign in to your account if you haven’t already. Then, you can complete the transfer in just 3 steps:

  1. Choose the number of points you’d like to gift.
  2. Enter your recipient’s name and World of Hyatt membership number.
  3. Your recipient will see the points in their account nearly instantly.

There are also a handful of straightforward terms you’ll want to be aware of as well, including:

  • Points transfer at a 1:1 ratio, starting at a minimum of 1,000 points, in increments of 500 points.
  • Both the sender and recipient must have World of Hyatt accounts that have been open for at least 60 days.
  • Members can transfer up to, and receive up to, 525,000 points per calendar year.
  • Members are limited to making 6 free points transfers per calendar year.
  • To complete a transfer, the sender must provide the recipient’s first name, last name, email address, and World of Hyatt number.
  • While point transfers are close to instant, in some cases, transfers may require additional review and could take up to 10 business days.

Final Thoughts

World of Hyatt members are finally able to transfer their points between accounts fully online, which is now much faster and simpler than the previous process.

The move to online points transfers is a long time coming. Though it’s a relatively small change, it’s a valuable improvement in the overall World of Hyatt experience.

By replacing the existing, tedious form-and-email process with a digital option available directly on Hyatt’s official website, the hotel chain is providing its members with a more user-friendly way to share rewards and coordinate travel plans that’s more in line with expectations in a modern, digital age.
