Utah had long been on my family’s travel list — between its stunning national parks and wide-open landscapes, it felt like the perfect destination for a spring break filled with natural beauty, fresh air, and some time on the slopes.

Since early 2024, I’ve been following the news about the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley’s official opening for guests. I had seen the stunning renderings of the new luxury property and had been planning to book a stay here from the beginning. When I read that the hotel would welcome guests in November 2024, I immediately booked my stay for April 2025 to experience it.

We wanted the perfect home base for a vacation in Park City before heading to Moab for the latter part of our trip. Our purpose for going on the final weekend of the ski season was to relax and enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings, rather than skiing. However, we did get a little time on the slopes.

So what’s it like to stay at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley? Keep reading — I’ve got all the details.

Booking Grand Hyatt Deer Valley

Booking our stay at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley felt like the perfect opportunity to take advantage of one of Hyatt’s newest luxury properties in a premier mountain destination — especially since it aligned with the tail end of ski season and overlapped with Easter weekend.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Exterior Name Sign Angle
The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is the newest hotel to open in Park City.

As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I was eager to see how far I could stretch my points while still enjoying the full elevated experience.

Surprisingly, cash rates were quite reasonable during our dates for a luxury ski destination, likely because of the late-season timing and the fact that Easter Sunday marked the final day of skiing at Park City Mountain Resort.

Cash rates standard rooms GH Deer Valley Hyatt
Cash rates are quite reasonable outside the busy ski season from December to early April. Image Credit: Hyatt

Still, I redeemed World of Hyatt points at 29,000 points per night, making it a solid value for a brand-new, luxury resort in such a sought-after location.

To enhance our stay, I applied a Suite Upgrade Award, a benefit of my Globalist status, which confirmed my family of 5 into a 1-bedroom suite with 2 double beds and a separate living room.

GH Deer Valley Suite Cash Cost
Rates for suites, on the other hand, exceeded $500 per night. Image Credit: Hyatt

We doubled our space from 360 square feet to 710 square feet, and our suite’s cash rate was $848 per night, making the value of my 29,000-point per night redemption look much better.

Booking a 3-night stay using points — plus scoring an upgrade — felt like a smart and gratifying way to use my Globalist benefits, especially at a buzzed-about property that had just opened in January.

Hot Tip:

If I had paid cash for this stay instead of redeeming points, I would’ve used The World of Hyatt Credit Card to earn up to 9 points per $1 spent on Hyatt stays — that’s 4 bonus points as a cardholder and 5 base points as a World of Hyatt member, plus a 30% elite status bonus for being a Globalist, which bumps the total up to 13.5 points per $1. That means on a $1,000 stay, I could’ve earned 13,500 Hyatt points — enough to cover a free night at a Category 3 hotel!

Location of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley

The 436-room Grand Hyatt Deer Valley enjoys a prime location in the heart of the ski village at Deer Valley Resort.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Exterior Back
East Village is a newly marketed section of Park City, and the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is the first hotel.

It sits in a brand-new area called East Village — part of a major transformation of the resort in Park City, and one of the most ambitious ski resort expansions in North America.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Exterior
Eventually, the hotel will be surrounded by the Four Seasons Deer Valley, shops, and restaurants.

During our stay, construction was everywhere — including a new Four Seasons property going up directly in front of the hotel.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Construction
Guests will be able to walk to dine at nearby restaurants once the Deer Valley village is built.

The long-term vision includes 5,726 acres of skiable terrain, along with new retailers, hotels, condos, and ski-in, ski-out access, all of which will eventually reshape the Deer Valley experience in a big way. Main Street Park City, just a short drive from the hotel, provides guests with a place to shop and dine. The hotel has no retail establishments within walking distance.

The quiet, tucked-away setting makes it feel like a mountain escape, yet you’re never far from the action. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is just under an hour away by car, making arrival and departure surprisingly convenient for a family trip.

Checking In

Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with service that matched the polished feel of the newly opened resort. It helped that the hotel seemed to have a low occupancy rate, since we were the only people in the check-in lobby and arrived shortly after 3 p.m.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Entrance View Inside
We arrived at check-in time to a nearly empty hotel.

Plus, we were traveling on the final weekend of ski season in late April, when most families had already completed their spring vacation and gotten their skiing fix a week or more earlier.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Seating Lobby Area
We missed the ski crowds from a week earlier since our stay was on the last weekend of ski season in Park City.

I found the staff friendly, attentive, and clearly well-trained, especially considering the hotel had only been open for a few months. I was greeted with a warm acknowledgment of my Globalist status, and the front desk team confirmed my suite upgrade without any prompting, which I always appreciate.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Front Desk
Felt like VIPs the whole stay — quiet hotel and staff who knew us by name.

Our suite was ready when we arrived, and we received luggage assistance from the valet. Within minutes, we were settling into our suite and soaking in the mountain views outside our window.

1 Bedroom Suite 2 Double Beds Accessible Tub

The 1-bedroom suite with 2 double beds was spacious enough for my family and me.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Living Room
Our 1-bedroom suite was spacious enough for the whole family to spread out.

Bedroom

The suite featured a separate bedroom with 2 plush double beds. Given that the beds were doubles, they were not ideal for 2 adults — 1 adult and 1 child would likely have slept more comfortably. The room had blackout curtains, which were a nice touch and perfect for light sleepers like me.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite 2 Double Beds
These are double beds, not queens — cozy but snug!

The suite’s layout offered both privacy and communal space, making it ideal for families traveling with children.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite View Side Angle
The bedroom was enclosed and separate from the living room.

In addition to the sofa bed in the living room, we also requested a crib and a rollaway bed (not pictured), giving my family more sleeping configurations. Note: I tried all 3 myself (except the crib, of course), and none were particularly comfortable, which disappointed me.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Crib
We didn’t use the crib for our toddler (she slept with us in bed), but it was already in the room when we first arrived.

The bedroom included a large walk-in closet, spacious enough to store luggage and clothing. We had 5 pieces of luggage, and the closet easily accommodated them all.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Closet
There’s only 1 closet in the suite, but it’s huge!

Electrical outlets for charging devices were both along the walls and in the center nightstand area between the 2 beds.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Nightstand
There are electrical outlets above the center nightstand, plus a handful of others across the room.

Beneath the bedroom TV was a large dresser with extra drawer space.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Dresser and TV bedroom
Additional drawer space for clothes was available in the dresser below the bedroom TV.

Quite a few times, I sat in the chair in the corner of the room by the window, observing the views of the chairlifts and the mountain.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Corner Chair
I sat here several times just to admire the mountain (and construction) just a few feet away.

The chairlifts were not operational during my visit, since ski season had ended on our mountainside.

In front of the corner chair was a vanity desk with a leather chair, where my wife and daughters got ready each day.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Desk
This cozy nook with a desk doubled as a makeup spot for my wife and daughters.

Living Area

The living area offered additional relaxing space and featured a pullout couch for extra bedding.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Pull Out Sofa
With 3 kids often sleeping in the living room, the sofa bed frequently became messy (not shown).

It had a table with 4 chairs, which was ideal for dining in, which we did a few times during our stay.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Living Room Dining Table
We dined here a few times when we didn’t want to leave the room to eat.

As far as entertainment goes, there were 2 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs — 1 in the bedroom and the other in the living room.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Living Room TV
The suite has 2 TVs, so there’s no fighting over the remote.

There was also a convenient wet bar with a Nespresso machine above it.

Below the Nespresso machine was a minifridge, perfect for storing my toddler’s drinks and snacks.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Minifridge
The minifridge was used for storing our drinks and snacks.

Bathroom

The bathroom was a decent size and included a countertop with 1 sink and a bathtub.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Bathroom
For a suite, the bathroom was comfortably sized — just not huge.

The toiletries, including those for the shower, were from Balmain Paris, and there were robes.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Shower toiletries
Full-size toiletries hung on the shower wall.

The bathroom featured a tub-shower combination with both a handheld and fixed showerhead.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Suite Shower
A tub and shower combination has always been my preference when traveling with my family.

However, the water pressure was disappointingly weak — one of the weakest I’ve encountered during a hotel stay, which was surprising for a brand-new hotel of this caliber.

Another minor inconvenience was that the extra towels were in a closet at the entrance of the room. This meant that whenever someone needed a towel, one of us had to go fetch it, as the bathroom itself had no storage space.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Storage Closet
The towel closet outside the bathroom felt awkward and would’ve been better inside.
Bottom Line:

Our 1-bedroom suite combined luxury and practicality (except for the towel storage closet), providing a well-appointed room with enough space for all of us to move around freely.

Amenities

Though the hotel features extensive amenities during ski season (mid-November to mid-April), some services may be limited outside this peak period.

Heated Pool

The hotel had a large outdoor pool deck on the lobby floor, ideal for relaxation.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Pool
The pool water was warm — until you stepped out, then brr!

The area featured a heated outdoor pool and 3 big hot tubs with stunning mountain views.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Second Jacuzzi
With 3 hot tubs available, warming up was easy and quick.

As Floridians, we braved the 45-degree Fahrenheit weather to visit the pool one afternoon. The pool and hot tub water were warm and comforting, but when you stepped outside to put on a towel, the frost in our bones was palpable.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Pool Seating
I imagine the pool area is a hit with guests during the warmer months.

Still, throughout the summer, I imagined this pool would be packed with guests, and the views were spectacular.

Fitness Center

I started each day with a workout at the hotel’s fitness center — and to my surprise, I had the entire place to myself every time.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley fitness center gym
Guests can access the fitness center using a key card.

Tucked away at the far end of the hotel, away from the lobby, the gym was open 24 hours a day. It offered everything you needed for a complete workout: treadmills, Peloton bikes, free weights, strength machines, and plenty of open space for stretching or bodyweight exercises.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley machines fitness center
I relished having the fitness center to myself each morning — for hours at a time.

What really made the experience special were the floor-to-ceiling windows that wrapped around the room, offering sweeping 180-degree views of the surrounding mountains.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Peloton bikes
Working out is always easier when you have views to admire.

Watching the sun rise over the snowy peaks while I got in a quiet, focused workout was an unexpectedly peaceful and energizing way to start the day.

Market

The hotel had a convenient market near the lobby, perfect for grabbing quick snacks or souvenirs.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Market Store
Snacks, refreshments, and merchandise were available for purchase.

It was well-stocked with essentials like bottled drinks, chips, candy, and other grab-and-go bites —- great for refueling after the slopes or before heading out.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Market Drinks
Refreshments, including beer and seltzers, were available for purchase.

The market also featured a selection of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley–branded merchandise, including hats, mugs, and tumblers, if you wanted to take a memento home.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Market Snacks
During the off-season, the market closes by early afternoon, or at least it did during our stay.

Since we were visiting during a slower period, the hotel market didn’t have set hours and opened at different times each day. I imagine its operating hours are fixed during the busier ski season.

Ski Lockers

The hotel provides a smooth ski experience, complete with convenient ski lockers and a partnership with Ski Butlers, a company that delivers your rental equipment — skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and helmets — directly to your room or ski shuttle.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel Ski Lockers
Ski lockers and ski concierge services are available at the hotel during the peak ski season.

These ski lockers are on the lower level of the hotel, just a quick elevator ride down. They offer a handy spot to keep your gear safe and sound.

Ski Shuttle

While the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley isn’t a ski-in, ski-out resort, the chairlifts are just steps away. Thankfully, you don’t have to haul your ski equipment up the mountain — the resort provides a large transportation truck that shuttles guests (and their gear) directly to the chairlift base.

Because we were visiting at the tail end of the ski season (quite literally the last day), the ski shuttle was no longer on the premises, but I imagine it’s incredibly useful for getting up the mountain.

Shuttle Service

The hotel makes exploring downtown Park City easy with its complimentary shuttle service to Main Street. The shuttle runs every hour — or on demand, depending on availability — making it a convenient way to enjoy the heart of Park City without worrying about parking.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Shuttle Main Street
A complimentary shuttle is available to take hotel guests to Main Street Park City for shopping and dining.

It’s a great option if you’d rather leave your rental car at the hotel and get dropped off right in the middle of the action, where you’ll find a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues along the town’s historic main drag.

Game Room

The Nexus Lounge, also known as the Game Room, was an absolute gem — easily one of our favorite surprises during the trip.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Game Room
Rarely is a hotel’s game room the whole family’s favorite spot, but here it was!

After exploring the area, our Ping-Pong matches made for a fun and energizing break.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Ping Pong Table
After exploring the town, we came back to the hotel and played Ping-Pong until our wrists hurt.

And air hockey is always a hit with everyone.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Air Hockey
Plus, a little air hockey competition!

It even had classic arcade games like Pac-Man and Street Fighter — total nostalgia!

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Arcade Games
My wife especially loved the old-school arcade games like Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and Atari 50.

Modern gamers could enjoy a ready-to-use Xbox and PlayStation 5. The cozy beanbag seating made it feel like your own private lounge.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Video Games
The kids loved sitting on the beanbags and playing video games, even though they don’t play them at home.

Our twins spent hours in there each day, completely entertained, and honestly, my wife and I had just as much fun. We got pretty competitive over Ping-Pong and had a blast reliving our childhoods with the retro arcade machines.

Best of all? We had the entire space to ourselves almost every time we went — making it feel like our own personal retreat.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Kids Club Seating
The space had cozy seating nooks.

The game room is open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day and can be accessed with your key card.

Camp Hyatt

Camp Hyatt for kids 4 to 12 is available during the busier months. Unfortunately, they were closed during our late April visit.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Camp Hyatt Interior Look
Camp Hyatt is a fun place for kids ages 4 and up.

It offers engaging activities in a safe and supervised setting. The cost for the program is $150 for morning sessions and $175 for afternoon sessions for each child.

When we visited, Camp Hyatt was closed for the season. However, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse inside. The space was carefully crafted for young children, showcasing a play kitchen, a variety of toy cars and dolls, and shelves filled with various games.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Camp Hyatt Books and Toys
Though closed, the front desk kindly let my toddler enjoy a few minutes of fun.

Our toddler was so excited to explore the area, and it was clear that once Camp Hyatt is up and running, it will be an amazing place for kids to have fun while parents unwind.

Ballroom and Meeting Space

If you’re thinking about hosting an event in the mountains, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has impressive spaces to choose from.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Conference Room Hallway
The hotel offers plenty of ballroom and meeting space, making it a top choice for corporate events and weddings.

The main event space is the Jordanelle Ballroom, which is huge —over 10,000 square feet with tall ceilings and room for up to 1,000 guests. It’s perfect for big weddings, galas, or conferences.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Conference Room Event Space
The ballrooms are filled with plenty of sunshine and offer stunning views.

For something a little more intimate, there’s the Deer Creek Ballroom, which still offers plenty of space (about 4,200 square feet) but feels a bit more cozy. It’s great for midsize events or celebrations.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Conference Room Table
Guests attending events here will be captivated by the ballroom’s stunning outdoor views.

Altogether, the hotel has over 30,000 square feet of event space, including 16 meeting rooms and even a scenic outdoor terrace.

Pets

The hotel allows up to 2 dogs per room (each weighing less than 50 pounds) for a one-time cost of $150. We didn’t spot any pets because we had the hotel almost entirely to ourselves. Still, if you’re planning a trip with your dog, the hotel provides thoughtful features such as food and water bowls, as well as an off-leash space.

Additionally, the pet fee you pay benefits a local animal rescue, which is a nice touch.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is $50 per day (or $60 for oversized vehicles) and includes unlimited in-and-out access. There’s no self-parking, so valet is the way to go.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Valet Rates
Valet parking is the only option and costs $50 per night.

Each time I needed my vehicle, I’d simply text the last 4 digits of the valet ticket they supplied me, and my car would be downstairs waiting for me. Fortunately, since I’m a World of Hyatt Globalist, the valet fee was waived during our stay — definitely a nice perk that added to the overall convenience.

Wi-Fi

I had a small delay connecting to Wi-Fi on my iPhone. A delay is a regular problem at many hotels, where devices do not always automatically redirect to the login portal. To address this, I opened Safari and went to hyattwifi.com, which brought up the login screen.

Once connected, the Wi-Fi was fast and dependable, with download speeds of 129 Mbps and upload speeds of 62 Mbps.

Wi Fi Speed Test GH Deer Valley
Wi-Fi was fast and reliable anywhere on-site.

Agaci Spa & Wellness

Though not open when I visited in April 2025, Agaci Spa & Wellness is now open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily on the first floor of the north side of the property.

Food and Beverages

While the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley isn’t surrounded by a plethora of restaurants within walking distance, you’ll find plenty of great dining spots just a short 10-minute drive away. That said, with how cozy and inviting the hotel is, you might find it difficult to leave for a meal. Luckily, the on-site dining is enough to satisfy your cravings without having to venture far.

Remington Hall

Remington Hall is the main restaurant, and it quickly became our go-to spot each morning for breakfast. My family and I ate there every day, enjoying the wide selection of delicious foods and drinks.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Remington Hall Entrance
Remington Hall is the hotel’s signature restaurant.

Breakfast was à la carte in the off-season (buffet-style during ski season), and you can choose from dishes like steak and eggs, omelets, or, if you’re traveling with kids, classic favorites like chocolate chip pancakes, waffles, or even chicken and waffles.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Remington Hall Steak and Eggs Breakfast
Steak and eggs for breakfast.

We ordered room service once or twice, and the food came directly from Remington Hall (more on that later!). As I am a World of Hyatt Globalist member, we were lucky enough to have our entire breakfast bill waived, which was a huge bonus — especially considering that without status, a family of 4 could easily rack up a $150 bill each morning.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Remington Hall A la carte menu
Prices are on the higher side, with main entrees ranging from $20 to $40 at breakfast — but breakfast is complimentary for Globalists.

The restaurant itself was absolutely stunning.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Remington Hall Dining Room
The dining room was spacious and stunning.

We loved sitting in the back room, where the floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the mountains and lake. The scenery was so beautiful that it almost made the meal feel like an added bonus.

Loved coming here for breakfast each morning!

Remington Hall operates daily, serving breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and dinner from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Lounge at Remington Hall

The lounge at Remington Hall was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring or skiing.

It offered a warm and inviting atmosphere, with TVs for watching the game, a long, sleek bar, and cozy couches surrounding a fireplace.

I could have sat here with a glass of wine all day.

The space gave off the vibe of an upscale speakeasy, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a glass of wine or cocktail. I found the space stunning, but I was disappointed that I didn’t have the chance to relax with an adult beverage by the fireplace, as I was attached to the hip of my family most of the time.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Remington Lounge
With TVs and a full bar, it’s perfect for catching a game or enjoying an after-dinner drink.

The lounge is open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the bar serves drinks from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., making it easy to enjoy a bite or a drink at almost any time.

Hidden Ace

I had no idea that Hidden Ace even existed until the last day of our stay. I had gone downstairs to check out the ski lockers, and while walking around, I stumbled upon a door that led to this secretive, hidden bar. It felt like I had discovered a local gem!

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hidden Ace Speakeasy Bar
As the name suggests, Hidden Ace is the hotel’s hidden bar tucked away on the ground floor.

Hidden Ace is known for its lively bar scene and live music, with local artists often performing for guests.

During busy months like summer and winter, live acts perform at Hidden Ace.

It’s a popular spot for both visitors and locals looking to unwind and enjoy a fun night out.

The intimate, hidden vibe gave it an exclusive, almost speakeasy-like feel.

It’s clear no expense was spared in creating this space.

Although the space was closed for the season during our stay, I could see myself returning for an after-dinner drink and tunes on a future visit.

An inviting bar completes Hidden Ace — a spot I can’t wait to visit next time I’m at the hotel.

It’s the kind of place I wish I’d known about earlier, and I’m definitely adding it to my list for next time!

Double Blacks

Double Blacks is the hotel’s modern coffee shop, and it quickly became my morning ritual.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Double Blacks Coffee Shop Entrance
Double Blacks is the hotel’s 2-level coffee shop right next to the fitness center.

I stopped by daily for a latte, and the barista was always friendly, greeting me with a smile. She mentioned that I seemed to be the only guest there each morning, which made me feel like a regular from Day 1. The space had a relaxed, welcoming vibe, perfect for grabbing a coffee before heading out for the day.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Coffee Shop Interior Views
You can get your specialty-made coffee drinks here each day from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Double Blacks is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., but once it closes, guests pretty much have to rely on in-room coffee makers if they want a proper coffee. While the in-room coffee isn’t bad, it’s definitely a step down from the freshly brewed lattes from Double Blacks.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Coffee Shop
In addition to coffee, you can order baked goods and other refreshments.

It would be nice if the shop stayed open a bit longer, especially for those afternoon coffee cravings, but I made sure to get my fix every morning before it closed at 2 p.m.!

Living Room

The Living Room offers the ultimate family après experience with its signature High Chocolate.

High Chocolate Table and Sign
The hotel’s living room is a cozy spot for wine, conversation, or the hotel’s popular High Chocolate experience.

Right by the front desk, this hot chocolate experience is taken to new heights, resembling a traditional afternoon tea but with a cozy, wintery twist.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley High Chocolate Drink
The High Chocolate experience was one of the highlights of our stay — so delicious!

When we did it, the tiered trays were loaded with both sweet and savory delights, including s’mores cookies, chocolate snowballs, gooey baked treats, and even small lobster rolls.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley High Chocolate Lobster Roll
In addition to the delicious sweet treats, we were also treated to savory lobster rolls and tuna toast, which were absolutely delicious and a perfect balance to the sweets.

We devoured these light bites, along with a glass of delicious Champagne.

Meanwhile, the kids enjoyed their artisanal hot chocolate and other sweet treats, while my wife and I enjoyed the lobster rolls and the chance to relax by the fireplace.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley High Chocolate Treats
This photo was taken before my kids devoured the sweet treats included in the High Chocolate experience.

The cost for this experience was roughly $150, which included all the snacks and beverages — definitely a splurge but worth every penny for the whole family. It was a pleasant experience to unwind in the Living Room and connect comfortably in the hotel’s inviting common space.

The living room was a stunning space to sit back, relax, and let your mind wander.

The High Chocolate experience is available daily from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., while light bites are served from Remington Hall daily from 5 to 11 p.m.

Room Service

Room service at the hotel was very convenient for my family. There were times when we just didn’t feel like heading downstairs to Remington Hall or venturing outside the hotel, and that’s when room service came in handy.

The menu offered a variety of comfort foods, and we often found ourselves ordering items like mac and cheese and chicken fingers for the kids when they were craving a quick snack.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Mac n Cheese room service
We ordered room service when we didn’t want to leave our rooms or get out of our PJs.

For adults, there were plenty of options, including burgers, sandwiches, and a caprese salad made with fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

Caprese Salad Room Service Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
The room service menu wasn’t extensive but offered enough appetizers, main courses, and kid-friendly options to satisfy the whole family.

While the menu was not overly extensive, it was a convenient way to satisfy hunger without hassle. Plus, it allowed us to relax in the comfort of our room while enjoying a calm meal together. Furthermore, room service arrived quickly, making it a reliable option when we just wanted a convenient meal without leaving the hotel and the comfort of our guest room.

Room service is available daily from 6 to 11 a.m. for breakfast, from 5 to 11 p.m. for dinner, and a limited late-night menu from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Service

The service was exceptional — easily one of the standout parts of our stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the staff knew us by name and were always a step ahead, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. Maybe it was because we were visiting during a quieter time and it felt like we were the only guests in the hotel, but either way, the attention to detail and warm hospitality felt personal and genuine.

The hotel had an incredible concierge named Lisa, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. I don’t usually rely on hotel concierges, but Lisa was exceptional — so much so that I found myself turning to her more than once.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Concierge Desk
Ask for Lisa — she has a wealth of information to share!

She called up a ski shop right at the base of Park City Mountain Resort and arranged for us to get an hour of bunny slope time, even coordinating for my 3-year-old daughter to try on skis and experience the slopes for the very first time.

She also gave us great tips on where to find local Easter festivities, making the holiday feel even more festive and fun for our family. Lisa’s warmth, attention to detail, and proactive approach truly set her apart. Thanks to her, we created unforgettable memories that we might have missed otherwise.

Every interaction — from the front desk to the barista at Double Blacks, the restaurant servers, and the valet — made us feel like special guests, not just another family passing through. That level of care made our experience even more memorable.

Final Thoughts

Our stay at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley was truly memorable, and it’s clear this resort will only get better with time. Right now, it feels like a hidden gem — quiet, luxurious, and incredibly family-friendly. But in a few years, once the surrounding village is fully developed with new condos, a Four Seasons hotel, and a collection of retail shops, this area is poised to become one of the buzziest mountain resort destinations in the U.S. — just steps from Park City Mountain Resort.

As a family, we loved every minute of our stay. From the cozy amenities and personalized service to the game room and après-ski treats, it felt like a perfect home base for both adventure and relaxation. We’re already dreaming about returning during the summer months to soak up the breathtaking alpine scenery or during peak ski season for extended time on the slopes. Either way, we know we’ll be back.
