Avianca, a member of the Star Alliance, has the LifeMiles program. Its award database has access to some of the best products flying to Europe. These include airlines such as United, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and SWISS. Avianca charges 63,000 miles one-way for a business-class flight from the U.S. to Europe. Even better, it doesn’t pass along any fuel surcharges.
