After multiple cutbacks and changes in the past year, the number of credit cards still offering Priority Pass restaurant access has gotten much smaller.

For those unaware, Priority Pass — the well-known airport lounge network — offers more than just lounges. There are nap pods, spas, restaurants, and more that participate in Priority Pass. However, not every Priority Pass membership offers access to all of these.

After recent cutbacks, you may wonder which credit cards still offer a Priority Pass membership with restaurant benefits. We’ve got the answer below.

What Are Priority Pass Restaurants?

Priority Pass is best known for its network of airport lounges around the world, but it offers more than just traditional lounges. It also offers minisuites, spas, game rooms, nap pods, and other spaces to pass your time in the airport. Priority Pass also includes restaurants at more 40 airports in the U.S. and international locations.

Not all Priority Pass memberships are the same, to be clear. The number of visits included with your membership will vary — even among the 3 tiers of paid memberships offered by Priority Pass. The number of visits and what you can access also varies if you get your Priority Pass membership through a credit card.

Eligible restaurants are listed in the Priority Pass app, and the details also discuss inclusions, how much in complimentary food and drinks you can consume, and how many guests you can bring at no extra charge. There are exceptions, but most restaurants allow you to consume up to $28 of food and drinks per person — including the cardholder and 1 guest.

Note that certain restaurants may provide a limited menu to Priority Pass guests. You’re also expected to still leave a tip for your server based on what the meal would’ve cost if you’d had to pay the normal amount.

Which Cards Still Offer Priority Pass Restaurant Perks?

Let’s quickly recap the cards that no longer include restaurant visits in their Priority Pass membership. If you visit one of the affiliated restaurants with a membership from these cards, you get access but need to pay for your food rather than having the bill covered by your membership.

Examples include:

However, there are still cards that offer a Priority Pass membership that you can use at affiliated restaurants for a free meal before your flight. Those include:

If you have a card with a limited number of visits per year to lounges, you’ll likely need to use one of your passes to bring a guest — meaning those with 4 annual passes could visit twice while bringing a friend. Be sure to consult your card issuer for specifics to verify guest policies if you have limited numbers of passes included each year and don’t want to pay for extra visits.

Final Thoughts

The list of credit cards offering restaurant access through Priority Pass continues to dwindle. While many of the big-name credit cards offering enrollable lounge access for members have left this list, there are still credit cards that can give you membership covering food and drinks at eligible airport restaurants.

Should you get one of these cards to have access to Priority Pass restaurants? That depends on how often you’d use this perk, how important it is to you, and the cost of adding one of these cards to your wallet. You’ll notice most of these have high annual fees, though getting a few restaurant visits annually from a card with an annual fee of under $100 could be a smart move.

If this is a perk you’d like, adding one of these cards to your wallet could make sense.

Frequently Asked Questions

What airports and restaurants participate in Priority Pass restaurant benefit?

You can find dozens of participating restaurants in U.S. and international airports. Examples include Stephanie’s at Boston (BOS), Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar at Houston (IAH), Bar Symon at Cleveland (CLE), Mercantile Dining and Provision in Denver (DEN), and many more.

How much is the dining credit per guest at Priority Pass restaurants?

Typically, you get around $28 to $30 per person in food and drink credit (excluding the tip) at most U.S. Priority Pass restaurants. Be sure to check the specifics during your visit.

Which credit cards still offer Priority Pass restaurant access?

Cards from American Express, Capital One, and Chase no longer offer this benefit, but you can find eligible cards from Bank of America, Citi, U.S. Bank, and more.

What restrictions apply when using Priority Pass for restaurant meals?

You usually can use the credit to dine in only, not for takeout, and the gratuity is not covered by the credit. There’s often a guest limit (commonly 1 guest), and you may need to show your boarding pass or proof of travel. Also, restaurants may exclude some menu items or have other rules.

How do I use the restaurant credit benefit with my Priority Pass membership?

Check the Priority Pass app or website before you travel to see which restaurants are participating at your departure or connection airport. At the restaurant, let the staff know you want to use your Priority Pass benefit and present your membership. Most restaurants have a maximum coverage amount, and if your meal costs more than that, you need to pay the difference. Some restaurants also have a limited menu for Priority Pass guests to order from.
