Alaska Airlines is launching flights between Seattle and Seoul on September 12, 2025. To celebrate this launch, the airline is offering buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) deals on paid flights between the 2 cities and discounts on flights booked with Atmos Rewards points.

This promotion comes months after Alaska Airlines acquired Hawaiian Airlines. In turn, Alaska Airlines will leverage Hawaiian’s widebody fleet to launch flights to various cities in Asia and Europe from its Seattle hub.

Let’s take a closer look at this promotion to see whether it’s a good deal.

Alaska Offering BOGO Flights and Discounted Awards to Seoul

Alaska Airlines is offering 2 types of discounts on its Seattle (SEA) to Seoul (ICN) route. The first promotion is for paid tickets. Travelers can purchase 1 economy ticket and bring a companion with them for just the cost of taxes and fees. This applies to nonstop tickets and flights that connect through Seattle, so long as all flights are operated by Alaska or Hawaiian.

This promotion is valid for one-way and round-trip bookings made by September 12, 2025, for travel between that date and December 15, 2025. You must use promo code “SEOULBOGO” to receive the discount. Unfortunately, first-class tickets are not eligible for this promotion.

Hot Tip:

Make sure to pay for your flights to Seoul with a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare. This way, you can get closer to your next award ticket.

Alaska notes that both travelers will earn Atmos Rewards points and status points on their tickets. The nonstop route is roughly 5,200 miles long, so both travelers would earn that amount of redeemable and status points on their bookings. Those with elite status should be eligible for their tier’s bonus earnings, and connecting passengers will earn based on their entire itinerary.

Travelers using Atmos Rewards points — the new name for what used to be Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles — to pay for their booking are also eligible for a discount. The airline is offering one-way flights on the Seattle to Seoul route for 20,000 points, plus taxes and fees. Like the BOGO deal, this is valid on bookings made by September 12, 2025, for travel by December 15, 2025. No promo code is required for these discounted award tickets.

Is It Worth It?

Both of these can be a great deal if you want to visit Seoul later this year. However, you should check prices from other airlines before booking to ensure it’s the best deal. And before redeeming Atmos Rewards points for your flight, check the cost of a paid ticket to see if you’re getting good value. Aim to use your points at or above our valuation of Atmos Rewards points at 1.6 cents each.

Final Thoughts

Alaska Airlines is offering BOGO flights and discounted award tickets on its new Seattle to Seoul route when you book by the end of the week. This can be a great deal if you have your sights set on visiting the South Korean capital before December 15. As mentioned, though, do your research to ensure you’re getting the best deal on a flight to Seoul before you book.
