Despite what Punxsutawney Phil has to say about the rest of this winter’s outlook, airlines are looking toward summer and announcing plenty of new routes to get excited about.
Low-cost carrier Allegiant’s latest growth plans involve bringing 8 new nonstop routes, particularly between underserved Midwestern cities and popular leisure destinations.
Let’s take a look at the details!
Allegiant’s Newest Routes Will Be Operated Twice Weekly
In recent weeks, it seems like almost every domestic carrier has announced new routes to start this spring and summer — which will effectively bring more competition and, hopefully, lower fares.
Similar to its low-cost startup peers including Avelo Airlines and Breeze Airways, Allegiant will bring new travel opportunities on a point-to-point basis.
In sum, Allegiant Air will bring 8 all-new routes this summer to be operated by its Airbus A319 or A320 aircraft. All of these routes will operate 2x weekly, and we’ve made notes of which ones are seasonal or year-round:

“We continue to see historically high demand from leisure travelers, so we are thrilled to add these routes to our network and build on the success we’ve had in these markets,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. “As travelers make their summer vacation plans, we know they will appreciate the low-cost, nonstop options offered by Allegiant.”
