Marriott is bolstering its presence in Ft. Lauderdale with the announcement of a new Aloft hotel scheduled to open in November.

Let’s take a look at what you need to know about this new property.

Proximity to Fort Lauderdale Airport

Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport has nearly 140 rooms spanning 14 floors and is pet friendly. It is conveniently located 3.5 miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and near the Port Everglades cruise terminals.

Amenities include an 800-square-foot fitness center, a yoga terrace, a rooftop pool, a gaming area, and cabanas.

The hotel opens for guests on November 10, 2023, though reservations can be booked now.

“There is so much to do in the Fort Lauderdale area,” said General Manager James Lalanne. “This property offers a location ideally accessible to airline and cruise passengers, guests enjoying the sights and sounds of downtown Fort Lauderdale, and those in town for major sporting and entertainment events at DRV PNK Stadium and the iconic Hard Rock Stadium.”

Marriott has a significant presence around FLL airport, with brands such as Courtyard, Four Points by Sheraton, and Le Meridien being represented.

Booking the Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport

The Aloft Fort Lauderdale officially opens on November 10, 2023.

You’ll find rates as low as 31,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night (or $196) for fall and winter dates, which is what you’d expect for an airport hotel.

Earning Marriott Bonvoy points is a breeze, especially if you need to top up your balance ahead of an award redemption. Marriott Bonvoy has several co-branded credit cards, all with substantial welcome offers. You can redeem Marriott Bonvoy points at resorts and hotels worldwide, including at this property.

You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points and American Express Membership Rewards points to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, you can join the Eat Around Town program and link your Marriott Bonvoy-branded card to earn up to 6 points per dollar spent at participating restaurants.

Final Thoughts

Marriott has no shortage of airport hotels in Fort Lauderdale, but this new Aloft Fort Lauderdale Airport should be extremely popular for guests catching a flight or taking a cruise. With award rates starting at 31,000 per night, this is an affordable option if you need a place to crash in the area!
