In anticipation of the upcoming winter season, American Airlines is adding a slew of new flights to bring passengers to Miami and beyond, with plenty of new flights being added to the Caribbean and destinations in Latin America.

The route additions include increasing capacity on popular routes as well as completely new destinations for the airline.

New Flights and Increased Capacity

American Airlines is increasing service on existing routes and adding entirely new ones in its latest Miami (MIA) expansion. Here are the details:

There are a few notable bits of information that are with paying attention to:

  • Previously, American has only offered 1 daily flight between Miami and Seattle and soon will offer 2. One of these is not a redeye departure from Seattle, which is great for passengers who don’t like redeye flights.
  • Sacramento will soon see year-round service from Miami.
  • American is increasing capacity to Cancún, one of the top international destinations from the U.S., to 6 daily flights for the winter season.

If you’re looking for some warmth this winter, American is offering plenty of new and increased flights to take you to Miami and beyond. Some of these will operate every day, while some are Saturday only. Regardless it’s nice to see new ways to escape the cold this winter from cities across the country.
