All Delta SkyMiles Amex cards issued in the U.S. are eligible for this latest promotion. To enroll, log into your American Express account and toggle to your Delta card (if you have multiple Amex cards).

Only purchases from U.S. gas stations will count, but this offer specifically excludes “gas stations located on-site at superstores, supermarkets, and warehouse clubs.” You can’t pay with an Amex card at Costco gas stations anyway, but keep in mind that fill-ups at Sam’s Club and Walmart fuel centers also aren’t eligible for this offer.

This Amex Offer should be available to any Delta cardholder, as long as the card was issued in the U.S. The Delta Amex portfolio includes 4 personal cards and 3 business cards.

For instance, with the Delta SkyMiles^® Platinum American Express Card, you can normally earn 3x miles on Delta purchases and hotels booked directly, 2x miles at restaurants worldwide (including takeout and delivery in the U.S.), and at U.S. supermarkets, and 1x miles on all other eligible purchases.

With the addition of this temporary Amex Offer, you can effectively earn 3x miles on up to ~$1,667 spent at U.S. gas stations through August 31, 2025.

It can take up to 90 days for the bonus miles to be credited to your Delta SkyMiles account, but the issuer usually posts the rewards much faster than this.
