Do you have an American Express card? Do you plan on ever flying Delta? Check your Amex Offers, because this newest one is right up your alley. Let’s take a look.
Offer Details
For the unfamiliar, Amex Offers populate on a variety of different American Express credit cards, including The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, and the American Express® Gold Card. You’ll find promotions, such as additional bonus points with certain retailers, statement credits when you spend a certain amount of money, and even ones like this — which will give you bonus points for buying Delta gift cards.
This offer is targeted across a wide variety of Amex cards, so you’ll want to log in to your Amex account and see if it’s available for you.
- Earn 6,000 bonus American Express Membership Rewards when buying $300 worth of Delta gift cards
- Enrollment is required — simply click Add to Card
- Buy your gift cards at this link: delta.com/giftcards/amex
- Must redeem by November 27, 2022
- Valid for either physical or digital gift cards
Is It Worth It?
Even if you weren’t planning on flying Delta anytime soon, this is a pretty lucrative offer. After all, Delta gift cards don’t expire, so you’ll be able to use these at any point in the future. They’re also not limited to a single purchaser; anyone can redeem the gift card.
We value Amex points at 2.2 cents each, which means you’ll be getting $132 worth of bonus points by redeeming this offer. Add into this the 300 points you’ll earn for the purchase, and you’re looking at a net of $138.69 worth of points for your $300 purchase — or a 46.2% return on your spend. That’s amazing!
Obviously, the limit for this offer is just $300 worth of gift cards, which likely won’t get you far if you’re looking at international travel. If that’s the case, don’t worry. You can use both gift cards and credit cards together when booking flights on Delta’s website.
Hot Tip: Are you a loyal Delta flyer? Take a look at our guide to the best credit cards for Delta flyers, which features information on lounge access, upgrades, free checked bags, priority boarding, and more!
Final Thoughts
This is an excellent Amex Offer, even if you’re not someone who flies frequently on Delta. Log in to your account to see if you’re targeted. If so, don’t wait — enrollment on this is sure to be overwhelming.
