Update:The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

If you haven’t traveled with the start-up airline yet, there’s a discount to lure you in.

Avelo Airlines is celebrating Labor Day by offering a $50 discount on round-trip flights across its network, and the eligible travel period runs into February 2025. The booking period, however, isn’t. This limited-time promotion expires on September 3, 2024, so let’s cut to the chase.

Avelo Sale Details

Travelers who book a ticket on Avelo by September 3, 2024, can save $50 off round-trip flights.

The eligible travel dates for this sale are between September 17, 2024, and February 11, 2024, with no blackout dates. You’ll need to use promo code LABORDAY to get the savings.

If you click on the Low Fare Calendar option when searching for flights, that can help you find the cheapest flights around your intended travel dates. Once you choose a date, you should see the discount reflected (assuming you entered the promo code).

Avelo has a growing route network in the U.S., including flights to Puerto Rico.

This relatively new airline continues to expand its route network and has brought ultra-low fares to cities across the U.S., with focus airports including Burbank (BUR), Las Vegas (LAS), New Haven (HVN), Orlando (MCO), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), and Wilmington (ILM). The airline flies a fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Hot Tip:

While Avelo charges extra for carry-on bags and seat assignments, the airline does not charge cancellation or change fees! Make sure to check out our guide to Avelo’s baggage policy before your flight!

Best Ways To Book

These cheap fares can only be booked directly at avelo.com. In cases like this, it’s always a good idea to use a travel credit card that will reward you for booking flights.

For example, The Platinum Card® from American Express earns 5x points per dollar spent on flights when booking through the AmexTravel.com portal or directly with the airline (up to $500,000 per year, then 1x points).

Having an Amex Platinum card in your wallet can also get you lounge access — even if you’re flying in economy — thanks to the Priority Pass membership (upon enrollment) and several other lounge networks where access comes as a benefit of the card. You’ll also receive other helpful travel benefits like a TSA PreCheck or Global Entry fee credit, hotel elite status, and more.

Final Thoughts

This low-cost airline’s route network has plenty of leisure destinations, whether you’re looking for a foodie trip to Baltimore or some beach time in Florida. If you haven’t yet, this deal could be the perfect time to try out the budget carrier. Just make sure to book your flight before the sale ends on September 3!
