There’s no stopping Avelo Airlines as it approaches 2 years of service.

The low-cost, regional-focused, start-up carrier has announced yet another new route — from Kalispell, Montana (FCA) to its base at Burbank, California (BUR). Better yet, service will begin just in time for the peak summer season on May 24, 2023.

Here are the details of Avelo’s latest network update.

Kalispell to Los Angeles-Hollywood With Avelo

Once again, Avelo Airlines continues to fulfill its promise of connecting smaller, more convenient airports. In its latest route announcement, Avelo introduces Kalispell — the gateway to Glacier National Park — to its route network.

When the seasonal route takes to the skies in May, it will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with the following schedule:

  • Depart Kalispell (FCA) 8 p.m. — Arrive Burbank (BUR) 9:50 p.m.
  • Depart Burbank (BUR) 3:45 p.m. — Arrive Kalispell (FCA) 7:20 pm.

This will be the first time that Avelo has operated service to the Northern Montana airport, although the airline cut service to Bozeman (BZN) back in 2021.

While Kalispell already has nonstop service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), this new route to Burbank will provide easier access to Northern parts of Los Angeles, as well as to popular coastal areas such as Malibu.

“Avelo’s service from Burbank to Kalispell gives Southern Californians a convenient way to discover and explore a different dimension of the great outdoors,” said Frank Miller, executive director at Hollywood Burbank Airport. “It also allows Montanans an easy opportunity to explore all that Southern California has to offer, at great low fares.”

Tickets are available to book now at avelo.com with super low introductory fares starting at just $49 one-way.

This latest development focusing on building out the airline’s West Coast network comes just 1 week after 3 new routes were announced from 1 of its East Coast hubs at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

All of Avelo’s services are operated by the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft in an all economy, 3-3 configuration.

Bottom Line: Since Avelo launched in 2021, it has continued to build out its network by consistently adding service to regional, underserved airports such as Binghampton (BGM), Charlottesville (CHO), and Dubuque (DBQ)

Final Thoughts

Avelo’s new service between Kalispell, Montana, and its Southern Californian hub at Burbank will provide exciting new travel possibilities for residents living at both ends of the route.

Watch this space for yet more Avelo route announcements as the airline continues to expand throughout the nation!
