Update:

The offer mentioned below has expired and is no longer available.

We stumbled across an unadvertised Delta SkyMiles sale and couldn’t keep it to ourselves. With one-way fares starting at just 2,100 miles, these rock-bottom redemptions won’t last long, so you’ll want to book fast.

Let’s take a closer look at this incredible deal.

Award Deal — Details

Short-haul flights from Delta hubs — and even non-hub cities — are pricing from as few as 2,100 SkyMiles each way for main basic fares, including major routes like New York to Florida. That’s lower than the cost of many domestic award sales Delta has published in the past — and this one isn’t even advertised.

Our searches turned up availability across multiple routes, including popular short-haul flights from New York (LGA) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) for as few as 6,000 SkyMiles round-trip.

Similar pricing is available on short-haul routes like Detroit (DTW) to Chicago (ORD), with one-way fares as low as 2,700 miles. On select dates, you can even snag domestic first class for as few as 9,000 miles.

We’ve even spotted rock-bottom fares from Los Angeles (LAX) to San Francisco (SFO) for only 2,100 miles.

The prices we’re quoting already include the 15% “TakeOff 15” savings for Delta SkyMiles credit cardholders, but even if you’re not a cardholder, you can still score a fantastic deal for just a few more miles on these unadvertised award flights.

We checked dozens of routes and found low fares across the board, so try different city pairs and dates to uncover this deal.

How To Book

Booking is simple: go directly to Delta’s website, enter your origin and destination, and use the calendar view to find the cheapest dates.

From there, pick the dates that work best for you, and you can then redeem SkyMiles to cover the cost of the flight. If you search without logging in to your SkyMiles account, you’ll see prices that do not reflect the 15% cardholder discount (if you’re eligible for it).

Hot Tip:

If you’re short on Delta SkyMiles, you don’t need to wait for flights to post to your account. Delta is a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards, meaning you can move points to Delta at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Award flights starting at 2,100 SkyMiles one-way are a rare chance to save a significant amount of miles and cash on your next trip.

Since this isn’t an official Delta promotion and award rates shift constantly, you’ll want to act fast before prices climb back up. If you’ve got SkyMiles (or Amex points to transfer), this is the perfect chance to book your next trip for a fraction of the usual cost. But you’ll need to act fast!
