Bilt just rolled out a new feature in its travel portal that could make booking flights with points a whole lot easier — especially if you’ve ever found yourself juggling multiple tabs trying to figure out the best deal.

The company has integrated Points Path directly into the Bilt Travel Portal, giving members a side-by-side look at cash prices and award pricing across many of its airline transfer partners — all in one place.

If you’ve never used a tool like this before, here’s why it’s actually a pretty big deal.

Bilt Now Shows Cash vs. Award Pricing in the Same Place

When you search for flights in the Bilt Travel Portal, you’ll now see more than just the cash price. The new Points Path enhancement adds award pricing directly into the results, so you can quickly compare your options without leaving the page.

Here’s what will show up:

  • The cash price of the flight
  • The number of Bilt points needed if you book through the portal (at 1.25 cents per point)
  • The number of points required if you transfer to eligible airline partners

In other words, you can instantly see whether it makes more sense to book through the portal or transfer your points, something that usually requires a bit of trial and error.

For example, in the screenshot below, a one-way nonstop Virgin Atlantic flight from New York (JFK) to London priced out at $455 in economy — but the same seat showed up for as few as 6,000 points when transferring to a partner. That’s the kind of difference this tool helps you catch right away.

To use it, just search for a flight in the portal and expand the “Award availability” section to see transfer partner pricing alongside the cash fare.

This is launching in a beta phase, so not every airline partner is included just yet. Right now, it works on one-way flights across all cabin classes and only includes flights operated directly by each airline. Bilt says broader coverage, including partner and alliance award space, is coming soon.

Hot Tip:

If you’re just starting off in the points and miles world, this is one of the easiest ways to learn when to transfer points versus booking through a travel portal, without needing to memorize award charts or dig through multiple airline websites.

Final Thoughts

This update makes it easier to compare your options without jumping between multiple tools — whether you’re booking through the portal or considering a transfer to a partner airline. For more experienced points users, it streamlines the process. For everyone else, it simplifies what can otherwise be a pretty daunting search for flights.

The feature is powered by Points Path and is currently rolling out in a limited beta, with more partners and functionality expected over time.
