Breeze Airways is expanding again, this time from a Southwest Florida airport.

Let’s take a look at the new routes.

Low-cost Breeze Airways is expanding from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida, according to reporting from Simple Flying. The airline will add 9 new routes from Fort Myers, all of them operating on a seasonal basis, bringing the total number of nonstop destinations served by the airline to 13.

Here’s a look at the new routes:

  • Akron/Canton (CAK)
  • Columbus (CMH)
  • Louisville (SDF)
  • Pittsburgh (PIT)
  • Raleigh/Durham (RDU)
  • Richmond (RIC)
  • Syracuse (SYR)
  • New Orleans (MSY)
  • Norfolk (ORF)

“We are extremely pleased about Breeze Airways announcing nine new nonstop cities at Southwest Florida International Airport today,” said Ben Siegel, Executive Director of the Lee County Port Authority, to the Fort Myers News-Press.

It’s unclear what aircraft Breeze will use to fly on the new routes. Breeze operates a fleet of Airbus A220-300, Embraer 190, and Embraer 195 jets.

Breeze typically flies to underserved destinations and flies to and from more destinations in Florida than in any other state.

How To Book

To celebrate the new routes, Breeze is offering promotional fares starting at just $39 one-way. Flights must be booked between July 18, 2023, through July 24, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET, but note that the routes may have different dates on which you can travel.

You can explore the promotion details and fare rules here.

Like all Breeze flights, customers can choose between 3 fare types, marketed as “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest,” and can purchase an upgrade to first class. Nice fares come with standard legroom and a personal item, while Nicer and Nicest fares include priority boarding, drinks, snacks, and checked bags.

The airline, started by JetBlue and WestJet founder David Neeleman, is headquartered in Utah. The airline commenced operations in May 2021. Today, Breeze operates more than 3 dozen routes around the country.

Bottom Line:

Breeze is a low-cost airline, meaning you’ll pay extra for ancillary purchases like bags, snacks, and seating. Take a look at our guide to Breeze’s baggage policy before your flight!

Final Thoughts

Fort Myers is a popular travel destination, so it’s not surprising that Breeze would expand its network there. The promo fares celebrating the launch are a good way to check out the area, so if you’re interested, make sure to book before the deals are gone!
