Breeze Airways has established itself as 1 of the best low-cost airlines since its debut in 2021. The airline, which focuses on underserved markets, has announced a massive expansion of its route network today.

Let’s take a look!

Major Fall and Winter Route Expansion from Breeze

Breeze Airways will add 18 nonstop routes nationally and serve 5 new cities, including Newark (EWR), Daytona Beach (DAB), Erie (ERI), South Bend (SBN), and Wilmington (ILM). There’s a noteworthy expansion out of Sarasota (SRQ) with the airline’s announcement today.

The airline says it will roll out these routes this fall and continue until February 2025:

  • Charleston, West Virginia (CRW) to/from Newark (EWR)
  • Daytona Beach (DAB) to/from Westchester (HPN), Hartford (BDL), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), and Providence (PVD)
  • Erie (ERI), South Bend (SBN), to/from Orlando (MCO)
  • Newark (EWR) to/from Orlando (MCO) — One-stop “BreezeThru” service
  • Fort Myers (RSW) to/from South Bend (SBN) and Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM)
  • Hartford (BDL), Orlando (MCO), and Providence (PVD) to/from Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM)
  • Akron-Canton (CAK), Islip (ISP), Portland, Maine (PWM), Richmond (RIC), Raleigh-Durham (RDU), Syracuse (SYR), and Westchester (HPN) to/from Sarasota (SRQ)

What’s particularly noteworthy is that with the addition of Newark, Breeze now serves 4 New York-area airports. Breeze already flies from Long Island-Islip (ISP), New York-Stewart (SWF), and Westchester (HPN). However, Newark is the closest — and easiest — international airport to get to the Big Apple.

“By connecting the dots between underserved city pairs, we are giving travelers more options than ever to fly affordably and comfortably to over 60 destinations across 30 states on more than 200 nonstop flights,” said Breeze Airways CEO David Neeleman.

If you aren’t familiar with Breeze, the airline operates à-la-carte pricing to keep prices low. That means ancillary purchases, such as seat selection and baggage, are passed along to the customer.
