Hilton has opened a new resort in the Seychelles — and it’s a steal in cash and Hilton Honors points.

Canopy by Hilton Seychelles has 120 rooms and suites with garden or pool views.

Amenities include 3 dining options, a pool, a spa, a club for kids and teenagers, and direct access to the beach. A spice garden and golf club are a short drive away for off-property activities.

“We are excited to continue growing our portfolio in the Indian Ocean, offering more incredible destinations for guests, with the debut of Canopy by Hilton Seychelles,” said Guy Hutchinson, president of Middle East and Africa at Hilton.

Canopy by Hilton is a boutique brand known for offering high-end amenities with a local touch. Today, Hilton has 40 open Canopy by Hilton properties worldwide, with another 30 under development.

While this is Canopy by Hilton’s debut in the Seychelles, Hilton has an impressive portfolio in the East African archipelago. In fact, some of Hilton’s best resorts globally can be found in the Seychelles. This is Hilton’s 6th property in the Seychelles, after Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, Mango House Seychelles, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa, Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, and DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Allamanda Resort and Spa.

Canopy by Hilton Seychelles has opened for guests. The resort is participating in the Hilton Honors program, which means you can earn and redeem points during your trip.

You’ll find modest cash rates throughout the summer of 2024, with standard rooms starting at around $350 per night. That’s pretty cheap for the Seychelles, one of the world’s most remote and pristine destinations.

Award nights are also reasonably priced, with standard rooms starting at 86,000 Hilton Honors points for dates this summer. Hilton no longer uses an award chart, meaning rates can be higher or lower depending on travel dates and availability. However, award prices at this hotel seem to be standard across the board.

Hilton Honors points are among the easiest hotel points you can earn. That’s because you have tons of options for earning, such as through a co-branded credit card, transferring points from American Express, taking a Lyft, or dining out with Hilton Honors Dining.
