Cathay Pacific is celebrating the end of summer by offering a discount of up to 32% off your next flight, depending on where you’re heading. To take advantage of this deal, you’ll need to book by September 3, but you have a lengthy travel period that runs through early December, depending on your destination.

Let’s check out the details.

Cathay Pacific Promotion Details

Cathay Pacific is running a sale where you can save up to 17% on business, premium economy, and economy class tickets to Hong Kong (HKG) and other destinations across Asia.

The deal is available from North American cities served by Cathay Pacific, including Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Toronto (YYZ), and Vancouver (YVR).

Plus, new and existing Cathay World Elite Mastercard® members receive additional savings of up to 15%, for a total of up to 32% off!

To qualify, you need to book by September 3, 2025, and book a round-trip ticket. When you’ll need to travel by depends on your destination.

Travelers to destinations other than Hong Kong must travel by November 30, 2025, while travelers flying from the U.S. to Hong Kong must travel by December 7, 2025. Travelers originating from Canada flying to Hong Kong must travel by December 6, 2025.

You can stay at your destination for 3 months if you fly on an economy ticket and up to 6 months if you fly premium economy or business class.

Is It Worth It?

Is it worth saving money on a flight? You bet. That doesn’t necessarily mean this deal is the right one for you.

You’ll find the best deals on premium economy tickets, such as this mixed-cabin ticket from Los Angeles (LAX) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) for under $1,700 round-trip.

If you plan to book a trip somewhere Cathay Pacific flies, compare the cost against other airlines. Is the price with Cathay cheaper than what other airlines offer on a similar route with the same number of stops and the same amount of travel time?

If you’re facing the choice of adding a 15-hour layover to your trip to save a few hundred bucks, it might not be worth it.

Hot Tip:

When paying for your ticket, use a credit card with extra rewards on airfare purchases to maximize your spending.

Final Thoughts

Until September 3, passengers can save up to 17% on new reservations with Cathay Pacific. How much you’ll save depends on where you’re going, but this is a fantastic promotion if you already have travel plans to Asia.
