Chase has made another shakeup in its hotel collection offerings, now listing Renowned Hotels & Resorts as a benefit on its United Airlines co-branded credit cards. The Renowned Hotels program is a rebranding of the Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection (LHRC).

As a rebranding, benefits will feel familiar for Chase’s United card holders. The perks also match another Chase hotel program, The Edit.

What is the new Renowned Hotels & Resorts program? Let’s check it out.

What Is Renowned Hotels & Resorts?

The Chase Travel portal offers The Edit, which is available to Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve Card holders. When that program launched in early 2024, it was described as a rebranding of Chase’s previous Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection.

The LHRC was previously available to more customers than just those with the J.P. Morgan Reserve card and Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Particularly, the LHRC was available to those with United Airlines co-branded credit cards. Now, those cardholders seem to have a new home.

We noticed that the United Club℠ Infinite Card‘s benefits now mention the Renowned Hotels & Resorts collection, and Chase has a home for that program at RenownedHotels.com.

A spokesperson for Chase has confirmed further details about this program and its benefits: “The Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection was rebranded as Renowned Hotels & Resorts and is affiliated with Chase Travel.”

Benefits will feel familiar for United cardholders:

  • Daily breakfast for 2
  • $100 on-property credit (varies by property but covers things like dining, spa, or other activities)
  • Room upgrade at check-in, if available
  • Early check-in/late checkout, if available
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi

However, the Renowned Hotels & Resorts program isn’t available to all United cardholders. You can access this booking portal if you have the United Club Infinite card, United Club℠ Business Card, United Quest℠ Card, United℠ Presidential Plus℠ Card (closed to new applicants), or United℠ Presidential Plus℠ Business Card (closed to new applicants).

Hot Tip:

If you aren’t concerned with hotel program loyalty or elite status, booking stays with value-added perks can be a great idea. However, if you’re chasing elite status or want points from your hotel stay, reservations through Renowned Hotels & Resorts, Expedia, or other third-party programs might not be a good idea. Hotels aren’t required to recognize your elite status or provide stay credit on these bookings.

Final Thoughts

Chase has another hotel booking platform, providing valuable benefits for United cardholders when booking stays through the Renowned Hotels & Resorts program. This is a rebranding of the Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection, which has now split into 2 programs — The Edit being the other, offering similar perks but open to fewer cardholders. As of 2025, you’ll find mentions of the Renowned Hotels & Resorts program on eligible United credit cards.
