Let’s look at the deal and how you can earn Choice points easily!

The Deal

Choice refer-a-friend promo

Choice is offering 500 points when you refer a friend to the program. When they complete their first points-eligible stay, they’ll also earn 500 points.

Choice says bonus points will be posted within 72 hours of the referred friend completing their first qualifying (point-eligible) stay, but could be as much as 20 days for stays outside of the U.S. Note that the promotion is only valid for point-eligible stays, which exclude rooms booked using an ineligible rate plan, rooms booked at rates below $40 per night, certain hotel-initiated promotions, reward night stays, and more.

Here at Upgraded Points, we value Choice Hotels Choice Privileges Points at 0.6 points each, making this haul worth $30. You can check out the terms of the deal here.

Other Ways To Earn Choice Privileges Points

After you’ve taken advantage of this program, let’s take a look at other ways to earn Choice Privileges points.

Perhaps the easiest way to earn Choice points is by having a co-branded credit card. Wells Fargo offers the Choice Privileges® Mastercard® and Choice Privileges® Select Mastercard®.

The Choice Privileges card offers a welcome bonus of 60,000 Choice Privileges points with no annual fee. You’ll earn up to 16x points at eligible Choice hotels, 3x points at gas stations, grocery stores, home improvement stores, and phone plans from landline and cell phone providers, and 1x points on all other purchases. Plus, you’ll receive Choice Privileges Gold status after activation.

The Choice Privileges Select card offers a welcome bonus of 90,000 Choice Privileges points with a $95 annual fee waived for the first year. You’ll earn up to 22x points at eligible Choice hotels, 5x points at gas stations, grocery stores, home improvement stores, and phone plans from landline and cell phone providers, and 1x points on all other purchases, plus a yearly anniversary bonus of 30,000 points. Finally, you’ll receive Choice Privileges Platinum status after activation.

Another way to earn points is through transfer partners. For instance, American Express Membership Rewards and Capital One Miles also transfer to Choice at a 1:1 ratio, while Citi ThankYou points transfer at a 1:2 ratio.

Final Thoughts

While 500 points may not seem like much, these points can come in handy if you need a few more of them to top off your account for a redemption. All you need to do is refer a friend, and after they complete a stay, you’ll both earn points, so registering for this promo is a no-brainer!
