Citi ThankYou Points may not be as popular as rivals American Express Membership Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards, but you should definitely be earning these valuable points. Along with its existing slew of valuable transfer partners, Citi has just added another loyalty partner: ALL – Accor Live Limitless.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Details on ALL – Accor Live Limitless

Accor is a giant in the hotel space, offering more than 5,000 properties worldwide. Notable names like Fairmont, Grand Mercure, Ibis, and Mövenpick are among its 54 different brands.

Those who travel mostly domestically may not be familiar with Accor. While the chain does have a footprint within the U.S., the bulk of its properties can be found internationally.

These run the gamut and include enviable options such as high-end Raffle hotels in the Maldives and the famous Fairmont Banff Springs. Accor also has several budget-friendly brands like like Ibis, Ibis Budget, and Greet.

The addition of ALL – Accor Live Limitless to Citi’s transfer partners makes it the third hotel loyalty partner to partner with Citi. The other 2 include Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards, both of which tend to be more budget-oriented.

This also makes Citi ThankYou Rewards the second major transferable program to partner with ALL — the other being Capital One miles. However, unlike Capital One Miles, the transfer ratio from Citi to ALL is 2:1.

In other words, 2 Citi ThankYou Points become just 1 ALL Reward point. This is a shame since ALL’s award program is revenue-based, meaning you won’t find any sweet spots when redeeming your reward points.

Instead, you’ll get a flat €40 (~$44) off for every 2,000 Accor points you spend. This means each point is worth 2.2 cents.

However, it’ll take you 2 Citi ThankYou Points to make 1 ALL Reward point, and we value Citi ThankYou Points at 1.6 cents each. That means you’ll be transferring 3.2 cents worth of Citi points to receive just 2.2 cents of Accor points.

That means the new Citi-Accor transfers provides poor value for those looking to maximize their rewards, though it’s still better than redeeming those points on gift cards or statement credits. Those provide even lower value on a per-point basis.

Hot Tip:

Citi ThankYou Points transfer to Choice Hotels at a more favorable ratio (1:2) than any other flexible point currency. This can be a better way to use your Citi points for hotel stays.

Final Thoughts

Citi has added ALL – Accor Live Limitless as its third hotel transfer partner, adding to the ranks of Choice, Wyndham, and Citi’s airline partners. However, the value in this new transfer partner isn’t great.

Since 2 Citi ThankYou Points become just 1 ALL point, you’re losing value in the exchange. Rather than sending points to accor, stick with more lucrative options such as Choice Privileges or Avianca LifeMiles if you’re looking to maximize your Citi ThankYou Rewards redemptions.
