We’re big fans of Qatar Airways’ Qsuite over here at Upgraded Points, which is why we’re so excited to find tons of Qatar Airways flights next year with award availability. Even better, these options include the hard-to-find connection from Doha (DOH) to Male (MLE), the Maldives’ international airport.

Let’s take a look at these great deals!

Fare Details

We found availability from nearly all of Qatar’s U.S. gateways, which is incredible. You’ll find 2 seats on flights from hubs such as New York (JFK), Dallas (DFW), Atlanta (ATL), and even Miami (MIA).

While not all of these routes feature Qatar Qsuites (and the airline is known for last-minute changes to its aircraft) it’s amazing to find this space at all.

  • Class: Business
  • Routes: Dallas (DFW), Seattle (SEA), Atlanta (ATL), Miami (MIA), Washington, D.C. (IAD), New York (JFK), and Boston (BOS) to Male (MLE)
  • Dates: November 2023 to April 2024
  • Rates: As few as 70,000 miles one-way (you can use just 66,000 points if you leverage a current transfer bonus)

The easiest way to look for these flights is going to be via American Airlines. Head to the airline’s website, input your details, then navigate over to the calendar function to look up awards. Here’s how it looks from Dallas (DFW) to Male (MLE) in April 2024:

You can also opt to use Seats.aero’s pro site to search for dates. This can make it simple to view multiple airports and a whole year of availability in one go.

Depending on when you’re flying from, you’ll either have 1 or 2 layovers.

Best Ways To Book

There are a few different ways you can book these flights, though they’ll all cost about the same. The first is via American Airlines, which will charge you 70,000 miles one-way in business class. However, American Airlines AAdvantage miles can be difficult to earn, since the program’s only major transfer partner is Bilt Rewards.

Fortunately, there’s a much easier way to book these flights by choosing either British Airways Executive Club or Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Both of these programs use Avios as their loyalty currency — and it’s much easier to earn Avios.

How simple? Between both programs, there’s access to every transferable point currency, including American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Bilt Rewards.

There’s also a 30% American Express transfer bonus to British Airways, which means you’ll be able to book these flights by transferring just 66,000 Amex points to British Airways, which will result in the 85,000 Avios needed to book a one-way flight.

Otherwise, those wanting to use Citi ThankYou Rewards can transfer their ThankYou Points directly to Qatar Airways, which can either be transferred again to British Airways or used to book the flight for 85,000 Avios.
