Delta Air Lines will resume flights from Atlanta (ATL) and Boston (BOS) to Tel Aviv (TLV) next year, coming after the routes were suspended for several years.

Here’s what you need to know about these exciting service resumptions.

Delta Adding More Capacity to Tel Aviv

After Israel’s multiple conflicts resulted in airlines cutting flights to Tel Aviv (TLV), the city is making a return to airline route maps.

Delta Air Lines resumed nonstop daily service from New York (JFK) to Tel Aviv on September 1, 2025, and will add a second daily frequency between November 30, 2025, and January 19, 2026, to meet increased winter travel demand.

Now, the airline has announced that Tel Aviv service will return from its hubs in Atlanta (ATL) and Boston (BOS) in 2026.

Atlanta flights will resume first, on April 15, 2026, with 3 weekly flights operated on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Then, daily service from Boston will resume on October 24, 2026. Atlanta flights will utilize the Airbus A350-900, while Boston flights will feature the Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

Both types offer 4 classes of service: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and economy.

At the time of writing, these Tel Aviv routes are not yet bookable on Delta’s website or Google Flights. We expect flights to be added soon, so if you’re interested in booking, keep an eye on both.

When flights become available, you can book in cash or with Delta SkyMiles. However, remember that redeeming SkyMiles for Delta’s own flights is usually a poor value, especially for intercontinental flights.

If you do find a decent deal with SkyMiles, remember you can transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points to Delta at a 1:1 ratio. We don’t usually recommend doing this, but if you’re just short of a redemption or find a redemption with above-average value, transferring a few thousand miles over is not a bad idea to give your balance the boost it needs to book a flight.

Final Thoughts

Delta is adding capacity to Tel Aviv by resuming nonstop service from Atlanta and Boston. While these routes won’t start until next year, it is nevertheless exciting news for travelers seeking more options to visit one of the most alluring cities in the Middle East.
