Delta passengers who are looking for a 100% Angus beef patty on a toasted potato bun should soon check their upcoming entrée choices.

Starting next month, Delta and Shake Shack are teaming up to serve the famous Shake Shack Cheeseburger to passengers in first class on flights 900 miles or longer.

Let’s take a look at this new collaboration.

Delta x Shake Shack Partnership

Starting December 1, Delta first class passengers flying out of Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) will be able to pre-select a Shake Shack Cheeseburger as their entrée of choice.

This partnership will be rolled out to other U.S. markets throughout 2025.

This option will be available to passengers up to 24 hours in advance in the Fly Delta app or via a link in their email starting 7 days before departure on flights 900 miles or longer.

This collaboration between Delta and Shack builds on the existing relationship with Delta and Union Square Hospitality Group, who have the same founder, Danny Meyer.

At Shake Shack, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to meet our guests where they are, even at 35,000 feet. Taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.

Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack

Fans of Shake Shack need no introduction to the famous cheeseburger, but passengers who are unfamiliar will likely (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised by the quality thanks to the 100% Angus beef patty on a toasted potato bun topped with the famous ShackSauce.

Passengers will be able to customize their burger with toppings including tomato, lettuce and more on the side. The meal will also include a Caesar salad and a dark chocolate brownie.

Delta First Class

Burgers may not be the first food item that comes to mind when you think of a first class flight, but for many, a good burger is a top-tier comfort food.

And with Delta refreshing the interior across its entire fleet with warmth and comfort in mind, this seems to be a nice fit between 2 popular companies.

A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food – our customers know that which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack. However, our partnership with Shake Shack goes beyond the burger. Shake Shack’s people-first culture and commitment to enriching their neighborhoods are spot on with our own brand values of service excellence and helping the communities we serve.

Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service

With the new interiors rolling out and this unique meal option, passengers sitting up front may have a very different experience flying Delta in the near future.

Final Thoughts

Delta and Shake Shack are teaming up to bring the famous Shake Shack Cheeseburger to passengers 30,000 feet in the air.

While limited to first class passengers out of Boston for now, passengers in other markets can expect to see this meal option added throughout 2025.
