Booking your flights and hotel together in a package is convenient, and Delta Vacations has a new promotion that allows you to save up to $200 while you’re at it.

Numerous countries in the Americas are eligible for this offer, and the discount is tiered — meaning you’ll save more as you spend more. You’ll need to book by February 28 and travel by May 31, 2025, so this could be a great way to save on Spring Break travel.

Here’s a closer look at this promotion and the promo code you’ll need to claim the discount.

New Delta Vacations Promotion Details

Delta SkyMiles members can save up to $200 on Delta Vacations bookings, eligible for travel in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

To qualify for this offer, you must book your trip by February 28 and travel by May 31, 2025. You’ll need to use the promo code SMEARN200 to get the discount. There’s no minimum purchase amount.

The maximum discount with this offer is $200, depending on the total cost of your vacation package:

  • Save $25 on packages costing up to $1,499
  • Save $75 on packages costing between $1,500 and $3,999
  • Save $125 on packages costing between $3,500 and $6,999
  • Save $200 on packages costing $7,000 or more

Qualifying trips are those that include a hotel plus a flight on Delta Air Lines departing from the U.S. or Canada. You must book a minimum stay of 2 nights at the hotel. Packages that include a rental car also qualify, but you must book a minimum package that includes a flight and a hotel stay.

This offer isn’t valid on existing bookings. Moreover, you’re subject to Delta’s standard baggage rules and fees with these trips.

Hot Tip:

You’ll earn Delta SkyMiles and Medallion Qualification Dollars toward Delta elite status on these packages, providing additional value.

Is It Worth It?

Those who regularly book flight-plus-hotel packages will be happy to save money. However, the biggest savings require significant spending.

It’s also worth pointing out that these packages aren’t ideal for those who care about hotel elite status — whether you have it already or are trying to earn it. Booking a hotel through a third party like Delta Vacations, Expedia, or Hotels.com can be convenient and may offer a great price. However, hotel rewards programs typically require you to book directly with them (or with the hotel itself) to get any hotel perks. Whether you want room upgrades, stay credits toward elite status, or even points in the hotel’s own program, understand that you may not get these if you don’t book directly with the hotel.

If that doesn’t matter, or if you’re heading to a location that doesn’t have your preferred hotel brand, this can be a good way to save money. The featured partners for this offer include RIU Hotels & Resorts, Royalton Luxury Resorts, and the Inclusive Collection from World of Hyatt.

Final Thoughts

If you’re booking a trip that includes flights and a hotel, you could save up to $200 by booking through Delta Vacations. Saving that much requires a lot of spending, and there are some positives and negatives to consider before making your reservation. If you’ve decided you like this deal, book by February 28 and travel by May 31.
