What’s Included?

This experience begins with a 4-night stay at Pug Seal Oaxaca, a 19th-century mansion turned into a boutique hotel reserved entirely for Chase Travel guests from October 30 to November 3, 2025. Each of the 20 rooms is uniquely styled with jewel tones and local artistry. The common courtyard — decorated with colorful frescoes by Rafael Urigias — sets the tone for a stay immersed in Oaxacan culture.

The curated itinerary starts with welcome cocktails and dinner, followed by a walking tour through Oaxaca’s vibrant markets and street food stalls. Guests will get to honor the spirit of Día de Los Muertos by contributing to a traditional ofrenda (altar) before heading to a local cemetery for an intimate, authentic evening of remembrance — complete with dinner and cocktails.

The following days include a guided art and architecture tour of the city and a journey to Teotitlán del Valle, where guests will visit the studio of artist Pantaleon Ruiz and learn about regional crafts like weaving and candlemaking. Another highlight is a visit to Casa Silencio, an award-winning mezcal distillery located about an hour outside the city. There, guests will enjoy a private tasting and a farewell dinner set to live mariachi music.

Throughout the experience, guests can indulge in local bites and drinks from the Chase Travel Mercado, with chef Edgar Rico serving esquites, tacos, and more.

Transportation for all scheduled events is included, and each booking also comes with perks like daily breakfast and a $100 property credit.
