Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Extravaganza

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is upon us, and, to celebrate, The Happiest Place on Earth is putting on some special attractions for guests who visit this summer and beyond.

First, there’s a new show in town. “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” is playing at the Main Street Opera House on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. It incorporates historically significant items from his life to trace his life in conjunction with his vision to bring Disneyland from nothing more than drawings sketched in pencil to the park (and global empire) we know today.

You’ll also find special exhibits like the evolution of the world-famous Mickey ears throughout the years, original merchandise from the park’s early history, some never-before-seen items from the Walt Disney Family Museum, and much more.

You’ll also be treated to a history of the audio-animatronics, including a figure from the original showing of “It’s a small world” at the New York World’s Fair in the 1960s, characters from “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and more.

You’ll also get to enjoy a new short film entitled “So Much That We Share: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers” playing in the Main Street Cinema. The film includes a new verse penned by composer Richard M. Sherman, which has been added to the finale of “It’s a small world” at Fantasyland.

A New Hotel Promotion at Disneyland

New attractions aren’t the only way Disneyland is celebrating 70 years. Right now, there’s an offer to save up to 20% on select stays at the Hotels of Disneyland Resort between August 17 and December 19, 2025.

This hotel offer is in addition to an ongoing promotion for tickets, which offers them for as little as $100 per day with a 4-day, 1-park-per-day ticket — or from $120 per day for a 3-day, 1-park-per-day ticket. This promotion runs through August 14, 2025.
