This holiday season, Etihad Airways is getting into the spirit with special amenities, themed cuisine, and seasonal entertainment for its travelers.

Known for its dedication to guest experience, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is working hard to ensure holiday travelers feel the warmth of the season, whether in the air or on the ground. Let’s dive into the details of Etihad’s festive offerings, from mouthwatering holiday meals to exclusive gift options.

Holiday Dining in the Skies

Travelers flying with Etihad between December 23 and 25, 2024, will be treated to a traditional holiday feast across all cabins on 30 routes. The airline says it expects to serve over 50,000 Christmas dinners, featuring turkey roulade with chestnut and thyme stuffing, herb and garlic sweet potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. Dessert options include delicious favorites like chocolate Bûche de Noël and gingerbread white chocolate mousse.

Flyers in premium cabins can elevate their dining experience with festive beverages such as Winter Spritz and hot gingerbread lattes, alongside mocktails and cocktails tailored to the season. For those spending time in Etihad’s lounges in Abu Dhabi (AUH) and London (LHR), the holiday spirit continues with Christmas-themed décor, gingerbread houses, and a special dining menu available from December 21 to 30, 2024. Seasonal drinks like mulled wine and eggnog coffee round out the lounge experience.

Additionally, Etihad’s E-BOX inflight entertainment is offering a curated “Holiday Season” channel with classic films like Last Christmas and The Grinch, ensuring guests stay entertained with festive cheer throughout their journey.

Other Holiday-Themed Offerings From Etihad

Etihad has unveiled limited-edition amenity kits in partnership with Giorgio Armani and ESPA, featuring holiday-inspired designs in forest green, crimson, and pearlescent tones. Available to business and first class passengers on long-haul flights, these luxurious kits make for memorable keepsakes. Economy travelers won’t miss out, as they’ll receive playful tote bags with festive snowman or snowflake designs.

On the ground, Zayed International Airport — Etihad’s home base in Abu Dhabi — offers enhanced facilities to ensure smooth operations during peak travel times. From biometric self-bag drops to family-friendly zones and offsite check-in options, Etihad is rewarding passengers with 1,000 bonus Etihad Guest miles for using these services through December 27, 2024.

For last-minute gift shopping, the Etihad Guest Reward Shop provides an extensive range of holiday items, including tech gadgets, fashion, and home essentials. Travelers can redeem their miles to purchase gifts, offering a stress-free way to check off their holiday shopping lists.

Hot Tip:

If you’re passing through Abu Dhabi airport, make sure to check out the new Etihad lounges or the Etihad spa — or both!

Final Thoughts

Etihad Airways has embraced the festive season with a thoughtful array of services and experiences designed to delight its guests. From traditional meals and themed amenities to curated shopping options and seamless check-in facilities, the airline has pulled out all the stops to make holiday travel memorable — without those memories being airport stress.
