Looking to fly in style between North America and the Middle East? Etihad is hoping to be the airline you choose when it’s time to travel, and its latest network update is making the choice easier for many flyers.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Daily Boston Flights Begin This Fall

Etihad currently flies nonstop to Boston 4 times weekly. Starting October 27, 2024, the frequency will be updated to daily service.

“Our Boston service continues to perform strongly, with our flights near capacity since our inaugural flight in Boston this March,” said Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad. “Having already experienced record passenger demand, we’re excited to invest further in the North American market by expanding our flight frequency out of Boston ahead of the peak winter travel season.”

Etihad’s flights between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) are operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. These aircraft feature 28 of the airline’s new Business Studios and 262 Economy Smart seats and include inflight Wi-Fi connectivity.

Toronto Gets the New Airbus A350

Boston isn’t the only North American city getting updated service from Etihad. As of October 27, 2024, the airline’s daily service between Abu Dhabi and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will be operated by the airline’s new Airbus A350 aircraft.

Booking Etihad Flights With Points and Miles

While you can obviously pay cash, options exist for booking Etihad flights with points and miles, whether that’s in economy, business class, or first class.

You can transfer points to Etihad Guest from American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One miles, Citi ThankYou Points, and Marriott Bonvoy. Plus, thanks to its numerous partnerships, you can book Etihad flights (often at a better price) using partners like Air Canada Aeroplan and American Airlines AAdvantage.

Hot Tip:

We rank Etihad’s new Business Studio as one of the world’s best business class products, so it’s definitely worth checking out. It can be expensive, so the ability to book it with points and miles makes it much more attainable for the average traveler.

Final Thoughts

Etihad says it’s “doubling down” on North America with the aircraft update on flights to Toronto and increased service to Boston — moving from 4 flights per week to daily offerings. Whether you’re traveling to Abu Dhabi, further into the United Arab Emirates, or just connecting through the region, Etihad is upping its game in hopes of being the airline you choose as travel demand continues to surge.
