Finding good fares to Europe can be difficult, especially when you’re located on the West Coast. Happily for travelers, Spanish airline Level is offering excellently-priced routes from California to Spain for as little as $1,141 round-trip.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Fare Deal — Details

Although Google Flights marks these as business class flights, they’re more akin to premium economy or domestic first class seats. While you’ll be able to enjoy extra recline and additional legroom, don’t expect a seat that lies fully flat.

That being said, this is still an excellent deal and a comfortable way to cross the Atlantic, especially at such a low price. Even better, these flights are nonstop, which means you won’t have to deal with going through security or transiting terminals along the way.

  • Class: Premium economy
  • Routes: Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Barcelona (BCN).
  • Dates: January 2024 to April 2024
  • Rates: From $1,142 round-trip

The cheapest fares you’ll find are on flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Barcelona (BCN), clocking in at just $1,142.

There are also cheap nonstop flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Barcelona (BCN).

And don’t worry about finding availability, these rates are pretty widespread this winter and spring:

Although Level is a low-cost airline, being a Premium member has its perks. This means you’ll be able to check a bag for free, bring a carry-on bag, enjoy complimentary meals, have your own check-in desk, receive priority boarding, and get an amenity kit with a blanket and pillow onboard.

Best Ways To Book

These prices can be found when looking directly at Level’s site, which makes this an easy choice. Rely on a card such as The Platinum Card® from American Express, which earns 5x Membership Rewards points on flights booked directly with the airline or through AmexTravel.com (capped at $500,000 spent in purchases per calendar year, then 1x points).

Otherwise, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® allows you to earn 3x Ultimate Rewards on all travel purchases, plus it has excellent complimentary travel insurance to boot.

Hot Tip:

One of the other excellent perks the Amex Platinum card comes with is a Priority Pass membership (enrollment required). That means you’d be able to add lounge access to both legs of this trip, too!

Final Thoughts

Finding good deals on flights from the West Coast to Europe is rare, so when an opportunity comes around, we like to jump on it. We don’t expect these prices to last, so if you’re interested — book now!
