Four Seasons, one of the most high-end, exclusive hotel brands in the world, is opening a new location in Morocco’s capital city of Rabat later this year.

Let’s take a look!

Four Seasons Hotel Rabat Set in a 19th-century Palace

Four Seasons announced the Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr would open for guests in 2023.

Fans of Moroccan architecture will appreciate the resort being set in a 19th-century palace. Kasr Al Bahr — translated to “castle of the sea” — was built as a royal summer palace in the 19th century. After renovations, the hotel will boast more than 200 guest rooms and suites with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The hotel will feature a whopping 7 restaurants, a spa, several indoor and outdoor pools, meeting spaces, and 500 square feet of outdoor space.

“As Four Seasons continues to grow its presence in Morocco, we are proud to build upon the success of our existing properties in Marrakech and Casablanca while introducing a complementary experience, this time in the nation’s capital city,” Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development and Portfolio Management at Four Seasons said in a statement.

The new Four Seasons will become the brand’s fourth property in Morocco, following the Four Seasons Resort MarrakechFour Seasons Hotel Casablanca, and Four Seasons Private Residences Marrakech at M Avenue. Other properties in North Africa can be found in Egypt and Tunisia.

The Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr will be located 20 minutes from Rabat–Salé Airport (RBA) and 90 minutes from Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is one of the world’s renowned international luxury hotel brands. Unfortunately, the chain doesn’t have a loyalty program like Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott. Instead, Four Seasons focuses on delivering a high-end product — typically at a high-end price.

You can still redeem points for your Four Seasons stays, but you’ll have to do this through a travel portal with your credit card issuer at the following rates:

Bottom Line: You’ll get the most value on Four Seasons bookings if you use Chase Ultimate Rewards points while holding the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, at a redemption rate of 1.5 cents per point.

Final Thoughts

We’ll be sure to learn more about the property when it opens for visitors later this year, but for now, make sure to check out Four Seasons’ other resorts in Morocco and North Africa!
