Low-cost carrier Frontier has announced a major expansion of its route network, adding a staggering 20 new routes from major cities nationwide.

These new routes are slated to start toward the end of this year and early next year — and they’re on sale starting from $29 each.

Let’s dive into all the details on this exciting expansion.

Frontier Network Expansion: 20 New Routes

Frontier Airlines says it has a goal of “being the number one low-fare carrier in the top 20 U.S. metro areas,” and part of achieving that is providing more low-cost options for flyers in those markets.

The big winners in this expansion are Baltimore (BWI), Charlotte (CLT), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), and Houston (IAH). Each will see a handful of new routes starting toward the end of this year and into early 2026.

To celebrate the new routes, Frontier is offering introductory fares from just $29 each way. Let’s take a look at the details of each one:

If you’re interested in booking one or more of these routes with the introductory fares, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • Purchase your tickets by September 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • Promotional fares are valid for travel from October 20, 2025, through January 5, 2026.
  • Blackout dates include November 23 to 30; December 21 to 31, 2025; and January 1 to 2, 2026.

In addition to this slew of new routes, Frontier recently announced new promotions for companion certificates, mileage matches, and instant elite status.

Frontier clearly smells blood in the water with regard to its chief rival, Spirit Airlines, which is in dire financial straits. Frontier hopes to capitalize on its position of relative strength and capture some Spirit flyers who may think twice about flying with an airline whose future is uncertain.

Final Thoughts

Frontier will add 20 new routes to its network between the end of this year and early 2026. This network expansion will give flyers in major metropolitan areas more affordable options for getting to popular domestic and international destinations.

Frontier also said more network additions are coming soon, so we’ll be on the lookout for even more new routes.
