With warmer temperatures (hopefully) just around the corner, low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has announced 3 new routes that could be great for a summer vacation.

“The addition of these new routes is part of our mission to offer consumers affordable, convenient flight options to a wide variety of destinations throughout the U.S., Caribbean, and beyond,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines.

Here are more details on the routes included in the airline’s latest expansion.

Frontier’s 3 New Routes Coming May 2025

Throughout the month of May, Frontier will add several new routes from airports across the country:

Each of the new routes will be operated by Frontier’s fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Charlotte to Tampa

As both American Airlines and Spirit already operate this route, Frontier will likely have to keep fares low to compete. And it’s coming in with some eye-popping introductory fares, as you can book one-way tickets on this route from just $29.

You could also use the Frontier Miles program to book your flights, with redemptions starting at 5,000 miles and about $6.

Cincinnati to Punta Cana

When Frontier begins flying between Cincinnati and Punta Cana, it will be the only airline operating nonstop service between the 2 destinations. This new flight could be a great option for residents of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky to get to one of the Caribbean’s hottest destinations — and one-way fares from $99 won’t hurt! Alternatively, flights can be booked from 15,000 Frontier miles and ~$54 in taxes and fees.

Washington-Dulles to Las Vegas

Frontier’s new route between the nation’s capital and Las Vegas will provide a welcome low-cost alternative to United Airlines‘ existing nonstop service between the 2 cities.

Fares on this route start at $69 each way — that’s as much as $200 cheaper than United! Award rates on this 5-hour-plus flight start from just 5,000 miles and ~$6 in fees.

Hot Tip:

According to our valuations, Frontier miles are worth 1.1 cents apiece, so consider that number when booking flights with cash or points. If you’re booking with cash, remember to use a credit card that rewards you for travel purchases.

Final Thoughts

Frontier’s new routes to Las Vegas, Punta Cana, and Tampa will provide new low-cost connectivity for those looking to get away for less this summer.

Additionally, if you’re a Frontier Miles elite member, you might even be eligible for an upgrade when flying these routes after the airline recently introduced complimentary upgrades.
