If you stay at a limited-service hotel, you might not get room service, but that doesn’t mean you can’t order food.

Hilton and Grubhub want to make that process easier and are expanding their existing partnership to more than 2,600 hotels. Now, guests can get on-demand food, groceries, and more by scanning a QR code.

Let’s take a look at the details.

Hilton and Grubhub Onsite Partnership

Since 2023, Grubhub Onsite has been successfully serving Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton guests, making the process of ordering meals, toiletries, and travel gear more seamless.

Now, Hilton and Grubhub have announced that after seeing the number of orders double, they will expand to Hampton by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, and Spark by Hilton brands as well, bringing the total to over 2,600 hotels with Grubhub Onsite service.

At Hilton, our goal is to make every stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. The expansion of our Grubhub Onsite partnership to include Hampton, Tru, and Spark enhances the amenities offered at our beloved hotels, offering even more value to our guests and ensuring they have easy access to the items they want during their stay.

Bill Duncan, senior vice president and global category head, All Suites and Focused Service Brands, Hilton

This expansion means that guests at select Hilton hotels will have seamless access to Grubhub’s marketplace of more than 375,000 merchants just by scanning a QR code while on property.

Expanding our partnership with Hilton is a testament to our successful alliance and the strong demand for our service among guests seeking convenient, affordable delivery. Whether it’s comfort food from a local restaurant, groceries to complete a meal, or forgotten toiletries, we’re devoted to supporting Hilton’s guests while they’re away from home.

Rob DelaCruz, vice president and general manager of Grubhub Onsite.

Guests who are new to Grubhub can get 1 free month of Grubhub+, which comes with $0 delivery fees and lower service feeds on certain orders.

Hot Tip:

You also can get Grubhub+ for free as an Amazon Prime member — a permanent feature of your membership.

What Is Grubhub Onsite?

You may be wondering what makes Grubhub Onsite different from any other on-demand app like DoorDash or Uber Eats. Well, the (slight) difference is convenience.

Inside participating hotels, you’ll find Grubhub Onsite QR codes with a geolocation feature that automatically populates the hotel location, your preferred payment method, and drop-off instructions.

The courier will then simply deliver the order at the designated drop location.

Final Thoughts

Hilton and Grubhub are expanding their partnership to bring Grubhub Onsite to more Hilton properties across the U.S.

Now, when staying at a participating property, guests can simply scan a QR code, and all of the necessary delivery information will be automatically populated, making ordering and delivery even easier.
