You’re already planning travel for spring, so why not get some extra points while you’re at it? Hilton Honors has a new promotion for double points in early 2025, which can help you boost your points balance.

Here’s a closer look at the details.

Hilton’s Double Points Promotion

Hilton’s newest promotion allows guests to earn 2x points on stays at all properties around the world.

Registration is required, and it’s best to take a few seconds to add the promo to your account, even if you aren’t sure you’ll stay at a Hilton property in the next few months.

This promotion applies to stays from January 1 to April 30, 2025. If you check in before January 1, 2025, the double earnings will start applying mid-stay on January 1. However, you must check out on or before April 30, 2025, to qualify for the extra points.

Keep in mind that you’ll earn 2x on the number of base points. You’ll also earn your normal elite tier bonuses and credit card points on top of the promotion, but those points aren’t doubled.

This is a worldwide promotion, so any Hilton-branded hotel worldwide will count. There’s no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn with this offer.

Hot Tip:

You don’t need to rebook any existing Hilton stays that were made prior to registering for the promo. Any registered guests with nights within the promo period will receive the bonus regardless of when a reservation was booked.

Is It Worth It?

We value Hilton points at 0.5 cents each. You’ll earn 10 base points per $1 spent at most Hilton brands, and remember that bonus points from your elite status aren’t doubled.

This means you can earn 20 points per $1 spent at most Hilton properties with the current promotion. That’s 10 cents worth of points for every $1 you spend — or an extra 5 cents above what you normally get.

Should you rearrange your travel plans to get an extra 5 cents for each dollar you spend? Probably not. And that’s especially true if you have to book a more expensive hotel with Hilton than a hotel from another brand, just so you can get these double points. However, if you were planning a trip and a Hilton property aligns with that, this can be an easy way to get extra points while you’re at it.

Final Thoughts

While it likely won’t make sense to go out of your way to double points, Hilton Honors members can benefit from this promotion on their upcoming stays. However, if a Hilton property fits into your upcoming travel plans, getting some extra points along the way is never a bad thing.
