Hilton Hotels is expanding its Motto brand by opening 2 new hotels in Tulum, Mexico, and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
The Tulum Motto is located in a mixed-used lifestyle space that will also become the first mall in Tulum. The 115-room property features 2 rooftop infinity pools with views of the jungle. Amenities include a rooftop dinner complete with a Mayan ceremony and access to 2 nearby beach clubs for guests.
Across the Atlantic, the 108-room Motto Rotterdam is within walking distance of popular tourist destinations. A communal space dubbed the “Motto Commons” will serve as a place where guests can work and unwind and will feature food and drink options.
“This is an exciting chapter for Motto by Hilton as it expands globally, underscoring the strength of the brand and its appeal to today’s travelers,” Matt Schuyler, Hilton’s chief brand officer, said in a statement.
Schuyler continued to say that Motto hotels would continue to offer modern designs in locations that reflect the destination where a property is located.
Motto properties are already open in New York, Washington, D.C., and other destinations; more than 20 projects are currently in the pipeline.
Curious how much a stay will cost with Hilton Honors points? Unlike some hotel programs, Hilton uses variable award pricing, which can result in cheaper or more expensive point rates depending on several factors.
Award nights at the Motto in Rotterdam Blaak range from 31,000 to 40,000 Hilton Honors points per night in December. However, rates at the Motto in Tulum, a popular destination for travelers, ranges from 27,000 to 50,000 points per night in December.
Best Ways to Book a Stay
If you’re considering booking a stay at either property, you may consider opening a Hilton co-branded credit card. There are several to choose from, ranging from a no-annual-fee card to a card that offers complimentary Hilton Diamond (the highest tier) elite status.
