Hilton is expanding further in Morocco, with the announcement of a new luxury property in Rabat, the country’s capital.

Here’s what you need to know!

Hotel Is Located 35 Minutes From Airport

Hilton, on December 13, announced the opening of the Conrad Rabat Arzana, the hotel’s first Conrad-branded property in Morocco.

The 120-room property features standard guest rooms, as well as a 6,800-square-foot Royal Suite. This suite comes complete with 3 bedrooms, an ocean view, a private infinity pool and even butler service. This option isn’t cheap whether you’re paying cash or using Hilton Honors points: a 1-night stay costs more than $9,300 — or a whopping 3.9 million Hilton points per night!

Across the hotel, there are several dining options, from a sushi restaurant, tea lounge, pool bar and lounge, and a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan meals.

A 2-floor spa with 6 treatment rooms, a 24-hour fitness center and thousands of square feet of meeting and event space round out the amenities.

The hotel is located 35 minutes from Rabat Salé Airport (RBA) and is close to tourist sites such as Old Medina and the zoo.

Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, president of Middle East, Africa and Turkey at Hilton, called Conrad’s entry into Rabat a “significant milestone” in Hilton’s growth in the Middle East and Africa.

“We believe this incredible addition will redefine luxury and enhance the hospitality offering in Rabat for business and leisure travelers alike,” Sleiffer said in a statement.

The Conrad Rabat Arzana marks Hilton’s 6th property in Morocco, joining the Hilton Tanger City Center Hotel & ResidencesHilton Tanger Al Houara Resort & SpaHilton Garden Inn Tanger City Centre, Hilton Garden Inn Casablanca Sud and Hilton Taghazout Bay Beach Resort & Spa. Additionally, Hilton says it has another 6 hotels in the pipeline.

Bottom Line: Award nights for a standard guest room at the Conrad Rabat Arzana start at 70,000 Hilton Honors points.

If you’re short on Hilton points, there are several credit cards to choose from. Additionally, if you have an American Express Membership Rewards-earning credit card, you can transfer Amex points to Hilton at a 1:2 ratio.

Final Thoughts

Morocco is a fast-growing tourist destination, so it makes sense that Hilton would open a Conrad — one of the chain’s luxury brands — in the heart of the country. Award nights at the Conrad Rabat Arzana aren’t the cheapest, so make sure you have enough Hilton points in your account before booking a stay!
