The month of August began strong with exciting new hotel openings in the Italian Dolomites, Texas, and Alabama’s Gulf Shore. Plus, we’ve got some details about exciting projects to come in China, India, Spain, and other parts of the world.

Aman Rosa Alpina, Italy

The ultra-luxe Aman brand has planted its flag in the Italian Dolomites with the opening of the 5-star Aman Rosa Alpina. The hotel has 51 guest rooms, suites, and signature suites, each with private balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amenities include 6 dining options, a 2-story spa spanning more than 5,000 square feet, a hair and nail salon, a fitness center, and a “year-round mountain playground.”

Graduate by Hilton Dallas, Texas

Graduate by Hilton is known for placing hotels strategically in and near college towns. The hotel chain recently opened a new hotel in the Lone Star State. Graduate by Hilton Dallas has opened directly across from Southern Methodist University with 93 guest rooms

Amenities include a lobby lounge, outdoor pool, a terrace, flexible event spaces, and a signature Tex-Mex restaurant.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Gulf Shores Beach Resort, Alabama

Embassy Suites by Hilton Gulf Shores Beach Resort has officially opened for guests in Alabama. The resort offers 257 all-suite guest rooms — most offering views of the Gulf.

Amenities include 3 dining options, a heated outdoor pool offering views of the beach, and meeting and event spaces. Like other beach resorts, this one does have a resort fee. However, it covers a lot: bike rentals, beach chairs and umbrellas, and even a daily s’mores kit.

Hyatt Place Tallinn, Estonia

Hyatt has opened its first hotel in Estonia with Hyatt Place Tallinn in the heart of the capital city. With 169 guest rooms, many of the amenities can be found outside of your room. The hotel offers a grab-and-go market, a restaurant, a bar, a conference room, and an all-day fitness center

Mumian Shanghai Expo, China

Hyatt has made its debut of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in Shanghai with the opening of the Mumian Shanghai Expo. The hotel has 332 guest rooms, suites, and even some private residences.

Many offer unobstructed views of the Huangpu River and the Lujiazui neighborhood. Amenities include 2 restaurants, an art gallery, and a pool.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa, Saudi Arabia

 Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa has opened in Saudi Arabia. The hotel offers 171 guest rooms and suites with views of the city skyline.

The hotel offers 3 dining options, including a Mediterranean restaurant and a cafe. Amenities include a kids’ club, a fitness center, a grand ballroom, and 5 meeting rooms.

Upcoming Hotels

Palacio de Godoy Caceres, Curio Collection by Hilton, Spain (September 2025)

Hilton is planning to open a Curio Collection hotel in a Spanish 16th-century palace. Palacio de Godoy Caceres, Curio Collection, located in Cáceres, is accepting reservations from September 1, 2025. The 73-room hotel was initially built by Conquistador Francisco Godoy. Today, it boasts a restaurant, a spa, a gym, an indoor pool, and a rooftop bar

  • Typical points cost: From 38,000 Hilton Honors points per night

Hyatt Centric Anjuna Goa, India (2027)

Scheduled to open in 2027, the Hyatt Centric Anjuna Goa will have 150 guest rooms and suites. Not much is known about the property, but we know it will feature several dining outlets, including a specialty restaurant, a deli, and a bar. When it opens, Hyatt Centric Anjuna Goa will join more than 50 Hyatt hotels open across India, including 5 in Goa.

Mandarin Oriental, Xi’an, China (2029)

Mandarin Oriental announced this week that it would open a resort in Xi’an, China, in 2029. The property, which will be the brand’s first urban resort in Northwestern China, will have 166 guest rooms and suites. Amenities will include the famed Spa at Mandarin Oriental, 5 restaurants, including a Chinese specialty restaurant, children’s facilities, a library, and more.

5 Ovolo Hotels in Australia & Hong Kong to Join Wyndham

Wyndham announced this week that it has partnered with the boutique hotel brand Ovolo Group. As part of the partnership, 5 Ovolo hotels in Australia and Hong Kong will join the Wyndham hotel brand in the coming months. Interestingly, Ovolo is partnered with Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), so, ostensibly, they will be leaving the Hilton program. 

Here’s a look at each hotel:

  • Ovolo Central, a Wyndham Hotel (Hong Kong): This boutique hotel has 41 guest rooms, plus amenities such as a restaurant, a gym, and an in-room bar.
  • Ovolo Nishi, a Wyndham Hotel (Canbarra, Australia): This hotel has 85 guest rooms and a restaurant.
  • Ovolo South Yarra, a Wyndham Hotel (Melbourne, Australia): This hotel has 123 guest rooms, plus a restaurant and a bar.
  • Ovolo The Valley, a Wyndham Hotel (Brisbane, Australia): This 103-room hotel features a restaurant, a bar, and a rooftop bar.
  • Ovolo Woolloomooloo, a Wyndham Hotel (Sydney): This 100-room hotel includes a fitness center, a pool, pet-friendly accommodations, and more.

Final Thoughts

This was an exciting start to August, as several new hotels opened in destinations like Alabama’s Gulf Coast, the Italian Dolomites, and Tallinn, Estonia. Plus, an affordable Hilton Honors property is set to open in a 16th-century Spanish palace next month.
