It was another busy week in the hotel world. Several hotels have been converted in Barbados, New Jersey, and Italy, while some exciting projects are planned in the Maldives, Utah, and more.

New Hotel Openings

Crystal Cove, Barbados, A Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort, Barbados

Crystal Cove, Barbados, A Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resort features 88 guest rooms and suites and is the first Tribute Portfolio all-inclusive resort.

The converted resort features 2 restaurants and a coffee shop, water sports, a pool with a swim-up bar, and children’s activities. Cash rates start at $447 per night. Award pricing with Marriott Bonvoy points isn’t available yet. 

Seaview Hotel & Golf Club, Destination by Hyatt, New Jersey

Seaview Hotel & Golf Club has joined the Destination by Hyatt portfolio, featuring 296 guest rooms and 16 suites.

Amenities include several dining options, a golf course, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, nature trails, and an art gallery. A Category 4 World of Hyatt hotel, award rates start at 12,000 points per night. Cash rates start at $158 nightly.

Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, A Radisson Collection Hotel, Italy 

A historic hotel has officially joined Radisson. Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como, A Radisson Collection Hotel, which opened in 1926, has 70 guest rooms and suites, 3 dining options, a spa, and exclusive private experiences on Lake Como.

Cash rates start at $322 per night. Radisson Rewards points values are shown at checkout; expect an average of 0.25 cents per point.

Upcoming Hotels

Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush, United Kingdom (April 2026)

Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd’s Bush is gearing up for an April 1, 2026, opening. It has 231 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, a spa, and a fitness center. Cash rates start at$177; award nights aren’t yet available.

InterContinental Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (Late 2028)

We don’t get hotel news from Papua New Guinea often, so we were excited to see IHG’s plans for the country. The InterContinental Port Moresby will feature 179 guest rooms, several restaurants, a pool bar, meeting and event space, a Club Lounge, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool.

Andaz Heber Valley, Utah (2029)

The first-ever mountain Andaz resort will open in Utah’s Heber Valley later this decade. Andaz Heber Valley will have 85 guest rooms, a spa, a restaurant, and access to ski slopes and outdoor activities.

Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives, Maldives

Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives will feature 26 beach villas, 30 overwater villas, and 10 Nobu Island Estate Residences (each on its own private island with private yacht access). Amenities will include a Nobu restaurant, bar and lounge, spa, fitness center, pool, and more.

Calala Island Will Pay You To Stay There

The ultra-exclusive Calala Island is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an exciting promotion. Every booking made before May 10, 2026, will receive a $2,510 payment via wire transfer within 28 days of booking. According to Travel on Points, award bookings (as well as cash bookings) are eligible for the deal.

A minimum stay of 4 nights is required, and you must travel by June 10, 2027. If using points, you can expect to pay 240,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Grand Hyatt DFW’s $34 Million Renovation

Grand Hyatt DFW announced the completion of its full renovation. The transformation began in July 2025, with renovations to the guest rooms (increasing the room count from 298 to 315), the restaurant, and the meeting and event spaces

Other updates include a new hotel lobby, a fitness center, and an indoor-outdoor event space overlooking the runway.

Final Thoughts

It was a busy week in the hotel industry, with several hotels opening or reopening after renovations, including an all-inclusive in Barbados and a Hotel Indigo in the United Kingdom. Some other exciting hotel projects are in the works in Papua New Guinea, Utah’s Heber Valley, and the Maldives.
