Another week means more exciting hotel news. Several new hotels opened worldwide this week, including in Panama and Macao.

Read on below for our roundup of the most exciting hotel news you might have missed this week.

Hotel Openings

The Inn at Celebration, Autograph Collection, Florida

After extensive renovations, the Inn at Celebration, a popular resort near the Walt Disney World theme parks, is now part of the Marriott Bonvoy. The resort has 115 guest rooms and suites, approximately half offering lake views.

The hotel has a redesigned lobby, a new restaurant, expanded outdoor seating, and a larger fitness center.

Londoner Grand, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Macao

Londoner Grand, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Macao has opened, and it is massive. It has 2,405 guest rooms and suites, some with terraces, private pools, and media rooms. Inside the property is an even more exclusive hotel: the Paiza Grand, which Marriott is billing as an ultra-luxe “private hotel” with 300+ suites that come with private butlers.

The hotel has 5 restaurants, a fitness center, a pool, and a grand ballroom. It is a short drive from Macau International Airport (MFM) and Taipa Ferry Terminal, plus cultural attractions like Senado Square, Taipa Houses, and the Ruins of St. Paul’s.

Hotel La Compañía del Valle, Panama

The “luxe mountain resort” Hotel La Compañía del Valle has opened in Panama, 50 miles outside Panama City. The resort has 70 guest rooms and suites, 40 of which are now available and 30 of which will debut by May 2025. All rooms have private balconies or terraces.

Interestingly, the hotel will serve a dual purpose as part hotel and part art space. It will include a sculpture park and more than 200 art pieces curated throughout the property. Amenities include 3 restaurants, an 18,000-square-foot spa, outdoor amenities like an infinity pool and horseback riding, and event spaces.

Forte de Gaia, Autograph Collection, Portugal

The 119-room Forte de Gaia, Autograph Collection has opened in Porto, making it the brand’s first hotel in the city. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a restaurant with a terrace facing the Douro, and more.

Radisson Blu Resort, Hoi An, Vietnam

The beachfront Radisson Blu Resort, Hoi An, has opened in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam. The sweeping resort has a whopping 674 rooms and suites, plus 66 private villas opening later this year.

The resort has 5 dining outlets, plus private dining available for guests staying in villas. The hotel is located along Ha My Beach, a short drive from Da Nang and 15 minutes from Da Nang International Airport (DAD). The family-friendly resort offers 3 outdoor pools, a kid’s club, and a spa.

Upcoming Hotels

Hyatt Centric Cincinnati (2026)

Hyatt Centric is making its way to Ohio, with the first branded hotel opening in downtown Cincinnati in 2026. Not much is known yet about the 170-room property; however, the building it will occupy is being transformed to include “hotel rooms and upscale restaurants,” Hyatt says. The hotel will be near attractions like shopping, dining, and sports arenas.

Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas Is Now Adults-Only

The kids will have to stay home if their parents have booked a stay at Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas in California. The 130-room resort transitioned to exclusively welcoming guests aged 18 and over on Valentine’s Day and says it is the only adults-only oceanfront resort in Southern California. Alila says the change will allow adult guests to relax and focus on wellness and connection.

“As we transition to an adults-only experience, we’re excited to introduce new programming tailored specifically for our adult guests’ desire for relaxation, connection, and adventure,” said General Manager Richard Sorensen. “From curated wellness retreats to elevated dining experiences, our goal is to create an atmosphere where they can fully unwind and immerse themselves in the beauty of our oceanfront setting.”

Radisson’s Big Europe Expansion

Radisson already has a huge presence across Europe, and it’s about to get bigger. The hotel chain has announced a sweeping expansion across Spain and Portugal. This expansion includes:

  • Radisson Resort & Residences Tenerife (2025): The resort is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2025. The resort will have 242 guest rooms and apartments, 2 restaurants, a pool bar, and a ballroom. It will be close to popular attractions such as Loro Parque, Teide National Park, and Playa Jardin
  •  Radisson RED Malaga (2027): The hotel will offer 102 rooms, a ground-floor restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and a swimming pool, and meeting and event spaces
  • Radisson RED Porto Gaia (2027): This 250-room property will have an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, a terrace bar, a rooftop bar, a fitness center, and a solarium

St. Regis Macao Hotel Axes Breakfast Benefit

The St. Regis Macao Hotel is reportedly removing its elite member breakfast benefit, as first flagged by sy7217 on FlyerTalk.

The following notice is listed on the hotel’s homepage: “Starting March 1, 2025, welcome gifts for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members have a choice of bonus points or a local amenity. Platinum and above Elite Members can also enjoy a discounted price for breakfast at the Manor.” Previously, breakfast was an option for these elite guests.

2 DoubleTree Hotels Coming To Ethiopia

Hilton announced this week that 2 new DoubleTree hotels — DoubleTree by Hilton Adama and DoubleTree by Hilton Dire Dawa — will open in Ethiopia in 2028. 

The DoubleTree by Hilton Adama will have 188 guest rooms and suites with views of the Rift Valley, while the DoubleTree by Hilton Dire Dawa will have 150. The properties’ amenities seem to overlap, as both will offer on-site restaurants, outdoor dining spaces, meeting rooms, spas, and more.

Final Thoughts

This was an exciting week in the hotel world, from a new Autograph Collection hotel opening in Florida to a massive Radisson resort debuting in Vietnam.
