The month of July is closing out with some exciting hotel news. A new JDV by Hyatt hotel has opened in Bali, a boutique Wyndham hotel has debuted in Atlanta, and several affordable hotels have opened worldwide. Additionally, we have news about some new hotels opening soon in the French Alps, Oman, Venice, and other locations.

Hotel Openings

KLEO Seminyak, JDV by Hyatt, Indonesia

The swanky JDV by Hyatt brand has made its debut in Indonesia with the opening of KLEO Seminyak in Bali. The boutique hotel opened on July 20, offering 60 guest rooms, some of which feature private balconies. Amenities include an onsite restaurant dishing up Southern Italian cuisine as well as a rooftop pool and bar.

Origin Hotel Atlanta, a Wyndham Hotel, Georgia

A new boutique hotel, Origin Hotel Atlanta, a Wyndham Hotel, has officially opened in the heart of Atlanta. The hotel has 122 guest rooms and suites (which are pet-friendly), with amenities such as an on-site restaurant and bar serving Southern cuisine, a souvenir shop, a fitness center, and flexible meeting spaces.

TRIBE Phuket Patong, Thailand

Ennismore’s TRIBE brand has debuted in Phuket with the opening of TRIBE Phuket Patong. The hotel has 185 guest rooms in 5 configurations.

TRIBE Phuket Patong offers 3 dining options, serving Thai, Italian, and Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine, as well as amenities such as a fitness center, pool bar, communal spaces, and a grab-and-go station.

Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest, Hungary

Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest features 71 guest rooms and suites, all of which offer direct views of the nearby St. Stephen’s Basilica. Amenities include 3 dining options, including a rooftop bar serving Japanese-Peruvian cuisine, and a gym.

St. Mark’s Hotel Bengaluru, a Member of Radisson Individuals, India

Radisson is boosting its presence in India with the opening of the 96-room St. Mark’s Hotel Bengaluru, a member of Radisson Individuals. The hotel offers 3 dining options: an all-day restaurant, a rooftop Indian restaurant, and a restobar. Other amenities include a fitness center and a spa.

Upcoming Hotels

JO&JOE Budapest, Hungary (August 2025)

JO&JOE Budapest is expected to open next month with 91 guest rooms. JOE&JOE is known for offering hostel-style accommodations, and you’ll find that here — rooms include dormitories for 4 to 8 people with shared bathrooms, private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, and more. 

Amenities include an all-day restaurant, a bar/club, and weekly events such as yoga sessions, stand-up comedy shows, pop-ups, and more. You can expect to pay around $35 per night for a shared room and bathroom, and around $115 per night for a private room.

Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, France (December 2025)

Slated to open in December, Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin will become the brand’s first hotel in the French Alps. When it opens, the mountain resort will offer 51 guest rooms and suites. Amenities will include ski-in, ski-out access, retail and ski rental spaces, a spa, an all-day dining restaurant with a terrace, a kids club, a bar/lounge, and a cigar room.

voco Muscat Al Mouj, Oman (2025)

A new beachfront hotel is set to open in Oman later this year. IHG announced this week that it has signed a deal for the 251-room voco Muscat Al Mouj, which will open later this year. The hotel will offer 5 restaurants and lounges, several meeting rooms, a spa, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a business center, and more.

Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, Italy (April 2026)

The ultra-luxury Orient Express brand has announced that a new hotel will open in Venice next year. Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli, situated in a 15th-century Venetian palazzo, will feature just 47 guest rooms, suites, and apartments.

From the time you arrive — via private boat — you’ll be whisked away into luxury with amenities such as a fine dining restaurant, an all-day restaurant, and more. Rates here start at $1,500 per night, and reservations will be available starting in April 2026.

Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum, Thailand (2029)

Ennismore is planning to open a massive Mama Shelter hotel in Bangkok later this decade. Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum will feature a whopping 578 guestrooms across 47 floors, along with amenities such as a restaurant, a sports bar, an arcade space, and a pool bar and lounge.

L’Auberge de Sedona Joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

L’Auberge de Sedona announced this week that it had joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). The resort boasts 62 cottages, 21 lodge-style guest rooms, and a 5-bedroom creekhouse. Amenities include a restaurant, spa, outdoor pool, and fitness center.

Its status as a Small Luxury Hotel means that you’ll be able to earn and redeem Hilton Honors points here. Hilton announced a partnership with Small Luxury Hotels last year, giving Hilton loyalists access to over 500 independent, boutique-style hotels. You can expect to pay around $540 per night for a stay here. There’s also a ton of award availability, but it’s steep at 140,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Marriott Completes CitizenM Acquisition, Hotels To Join Marriott Bonvoy

Marriott announced that it had completed its acquisition of CitizenM, a boutique hotel chain with properties worldwide. The deal will see 37 hotels, comprising more than 8,700 rooms across over 20 cities in the U.S., Europe, and Asia Pacific, join the Marriott Bonvoy umbrella. These hotels are expected to be bookable through Marriott later this year. 

Accor’s Emblem Collection Announces 3 New Hotels in Italy

Accor announced this week that it had signed deals for 3 Emblem Collection hotels in Italy, scheduled to open next year. The new hotels will open in Tuscany, Umbria, and Apulia. Here’s a look at what’s in the pipeline:

  • Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti, Emblems Collection: This 38-room hotel, set to open in mid-2026 in Seina, will have a spa.
  • Relais San Clemente, Emblems Collection: Scheduled to open in mid-2026, the 51-room estate will feature 9 private villas, wellness offerings, and more. 
  • Masseria Furnirussi, Emblems Collection: Also slated to open in mid-2026, this hotel will have 60 suites (most will have private pools), as well as a spa.

Final Thoughts

July closed out with a bang, as some exciting hotels either opened or are under development. There’s a new, affordable points hotel in Bali, a gorgeous boutique hotel in Atlanta, and more. The hotels in the pipeline are even more exciting, such as a Rosewood opening in the French Alps and an Orient Express hotel coming to Venice.
