It was an exciting week in the hotel world: Several new resorts opened in the Dominican Republic and Vietnam, and several more are planned in the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, and elsewhere.

There’s a lot to cover from this week, so read on for our roundup of the most exciting hotel news you might have missed.

Hotel Openings

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, Dominican Republic

The much-awaited The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort has officially opened in the Dominican Republic. The resort has 200 guest rooms with ocean views, and its 36 suites feature direct plunge pool access.

The all-ages resort features 4 swimming pools (including different options for kids and adults), a children’s and teens club, 9 dining outlets, including a wine bar, and a spa with 14 treatment rooms.

Hyde Melbourne Place, Australia 

Ennismore is growing its high-end Hyde brand in Australia. The recently opened Hyde Melbourne Place is in the heart of the city and boasts 191 rooms and suites. Amenities include 2 restaurants serving Mediterranean and Portuguese fare, a bar, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a hotel shuttle.

Tru by Hilton Chillán Ferrat, Chile

Hilton’s new Tru brand has made its debut in Chile with the opening of the Tru by Hilton Chillán Ferrat. Chillán is a city in central Chile, roughly 4 hours’ drive from the capital, Santiago.

The hotel has 91 guest rooms, a fully equipped gym, complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24/7 market, and a multipurpose lobby for work and play. Guests will also have access to a Tru brand signature: a breakfast bar with toppings for bagels, oatmeal, and more.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

Radisson Blu Hotel, Ha Long Bay has 352 guest rooms and suites. The hotel boasts a restaurant, 4 bars, an executive lounge offering private check-in and concierge service, and 2 pools.

This is Radisson’s second hotel to open in Vietnam in the past month. Radisson Resort Mui Ne, located along Suoi Nuoc Beach in Binh Thuan, Vietnam, has 126 rooms, including 12 beachfront villas and 8 garden villas.

La Quinta by Wyndham Batumi, Georgia

La Quinta by Wyndham Batumi has 98 guest rooms and suites. Amenities include a fitness center, a wellness center with a sauna, steam room, and massage room, a restaurant, and a bar.

Batumi is a Black Sea resort and port city near the border of Türkiye. This is the debut of the La Quinta by Wyndham brand, concentrated mainly in the U.S., Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates, in Georgia.

The Farm at San Benito, Autograph Collection, Philippines (2025)

Marriott is expanding the Autograph Collection brand in the third quarter of 2025. The Farm at San Benito, Autograph Collection, will have 70 guest rooms, including 1-bedroom villas and 2- and 4-bedroom private pool villas. The resort will have a swimming pool and a pool bar, a fitness center, a spa, a medical wellness center, 5 dining outlets, and 2 bars.

The resort is located in Lipa City, Batangas, a 90-minute drive from Manila and the Manila International Airport (MNL).

Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park, Japan (2025)

IHG will open its second Holiday Inn property in Japan later this year. Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park will open in late 2025 and will have 195 guest rooms, a gym, a lobby cafe, meeting spaces, a restaurant, and a large public bath

Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, Egypt (2026)

Hilton has inked a deal for the Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience in Egypt, which is slated to open in late 2026. The resort will offer 4- and 6-night itineraries, with 5 decks and 29 suites. Amenities will include a fitness center, a spa, Waldorf Astoria’s signature Peacock Alley, a restaurant serving Egyptian, Mediterranean, and international cuisine, and a rooftop deck

Kimpton Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2026)

Scheduled to open in early 2026, the Kimpton Dubai will have 280 guest rooms and suites, 3 dining outlets, a rooftop swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, retail outlets, and more. This is the debut of the luxury Kimpton brand in the United Arab Emirates. IHG already has its fair share of luxury brands in the UAE, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo.

Four Seasons Resort Ajman at Al Zorah, United Arab Emirates (2026)

Four Seasons Resort Ajman at Al Zorah will have 74 guest rooms and suites, each with private terraces and views of the Arabian Gulf. Guests will have access to high-end amenities like a spa, several dining outlets, a private beach, private cabanas, an infinity pool, and separate pools for adults and kids. The hotel will be a 35-minute drive from the Dubai International Airport (DXB).

The Hoxton, Nashville, Tennessee (2027)

Ennismore’s Hoxton brand is landing in the Music City, with a hotel planned for Nashville in 2027. The hotel will have 200+ guest rooms in 5 room categories, a restaurant, a rooftop, a pool, a speakeasy, and a bar.

Raffles Estera East Cape Resort & Residences, Mexico (2029)

The exclusive Raffles brand plans to open a high-end resort in Mexico later this decade. The Raffles Estera East Cape Resort & Residences will be located in Los Cabos’ East Cape district and will have 80 rooms and 46 branded residences. The hotel will have 7 dining outlets, a spa, multiple pools, a beachfront watersports center, and club spaces for kids and teens.

Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, Opens After Renovations

Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, has opened after an extensive multimillion-dollar renovation, including updates to its public areas, 375 suites, and brand-new dining options. 

Cash rates start at just $250 per night, while a standard room reward will cost between 75,000 and 85,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

Choice Hotels Refreshing Breakfast Options at Comfort and Country Inn & Suites

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Choice Hotels seems to agree. The hotel chain is offering several new complimentary breakfast options at Comfort and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson

Comfort will offer a “Build Your Own Breakfast” bowl, where guests can choose from scrambled eggs, potatoes, peppers, onions, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and “Everything Bagel” and “Nashville Hot” seasonings. Country Inn & Suites will begin offering Pillsbury biscuit sandwiches. Both brands will roll out orange juice and General Mills cereal options this year.
