The Thanksgiving holiday didn’t slow down the hotel news. There was a flurry of news this week, including exciting openings in Texas, Nepal, Norway, and other locations. Plus, we have news on upcoming projects in California’s Napa Valley and news on a renovation in New York.

Blossom Hotel Houston, Curio Collection by Hilton, Texas

Blossom Hotel Houston, Curio Collection by Hilton, has officially joined the Hilton Honors portfolio. The hotel offers 247 guest rooms and features amenities such as a rooftop pool, 2 restaurants, and the city’s only hotel med-spa.

Blossom Hotel Houston is located in the city’s cultural and medical districts, giving seamless access to Texas Medical Center, NRG Stadium, and the Museum District.

Baltic View Resort & Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals, Poland

Baltic View Resort & Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals, has opened along Poland’s Baltic coast. The resort features 60 guest rooms and suites, catering to both short-term guests and extended-stay travelers.

Hyatt Place Butwal, Nepal

Hyatt’s third hotel in Nepal has officially opened for guests. Hyatt Place Butwal offers 109 guest rooms with separate spaces to sleep, work, and play.

For a Hyatt Place, which is one of Hyatt’s budget options, the hotel offers some high-end amenities. Amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a spa, and a kids’ play area. Additionally, the Hyatt Place Butwa offers complimentary breakfast with hot and cold items, a market, and a bar.

DoubleTree by Hilton Charleston Riverview, South Carolina

Hilton Honors loyalists have a new points option in South Carolina’s Low Country. The DoubleTree by Hilton Charleston Riverview has joined the Hilton portfolio, offering 126 guest rooms.

Hampton by Hilton Cusco, Peru, has opened in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. The hotel features 120 rooms and is designed for guests seeking an affordable, relaxing option. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a wellness area with a jacuzzi, a 24/7 market, and complimentary hot breakfast.

DoubleTree by Hilton Paris Boulogne, France

A new Hilton hotel in France has opened its doors. DoubleTree by Hilton Paris Boulogne features 170 rooms and suites, along with amenities such as a terrace, a bar, and a fitness area, and easy access to the Porte de Saint-Cloud Metro station, which gets you to Paris in under an hour.

Casa Mani Resort Napa Valley, Curio Collection by Hilton, California (2026)

Casa Mani Resort Napa Valley, Curio Collection by Hilton, is gearing up for an early 2026 debut. 

Expected to open for guests on February 3, 2026, the resort offers 203 guest rooms and suites. Amenities include 2 dining options serving a Napa-inspired culinary experience, a swimming pool, and a spa. Cash rates start at around $230 per night; however, award pricing isn’t available yet.

Hotel News

Sofitel New York Gets Full Renovation

The Big Apple’s famed Sofitel New York recently underwent sweeping renovations. 

All of the hotel’s 398 guest rooms and 52 suites were fully redesigned with French inspiration. Rooms feature French Art Deco inspiration, drawing on 1930s-era fine arts. Additionally, the hotel has introduced a new suite collection, including a new 28th-floor penthouse suite, spanning more than 1,200 square feet. Other updates include a new bar and bistro, as well as a ballroom.

Rates start at around $975 per night.

Final Thoughts

November ended on a strong note as a slew of new hotels opened in Houston, Norway, South Carolina’s Low Country, and other exciting destinations. Additionally, one of the most high-end hotels in New York got a big renovation, enhancing its guest rooms and suites, and a new resort is scheduled to open soon in California’s wine country.
