If you answered “yes” to all of the above, you’ll love this new promotion from World of Hyatt, offering up to 20,000 bonus points in the Caribbean and Latin America. Registration is open now, though participating stays are July 15 to October 14, 2024.

Terms of the Offer

You’ll need to register for this promotion here by September 30, 2024, and only stays after registration qualify for bonus points.

The terms state that the promotion isn’t “valid with groups, conventions, other promotional offers, packages or special rate programs,” and you’ll need to pay for your stay with cash. That’s because award bookings with World of Hyatt points or free nights don’t count toward the bonus points promotion. 

Unfortunately, Hyatt hasn’t provided a list of participating properties, so I’m hoping my August stays in Belize will qualify. Moreover, the terms say it can take 2 to 4 weeks to receive the bonus points, but my experience with Hyatt promotions tells me it’s usually faster than that.

So, how do you earn points with this promotion? You’ll earn 5,000 bonus points every 3 nights, up to a maximum of 20,000 bonus points. That requires staying 12 nights at participating properties. Luckily, there’s no mention of consecutive nights, so the stays should be cumulative. Thus, staying 2 nights here and 4 nights there should count as 6 nights, netting 10,000 bonus points. You shouldn’t need to stay in blocks of 3 nights.

It’s also worth noting that the terms say rooms available for this promotion may be limited, but considering there’s no discount code required, that shouldn’t be an issue.
