There’s great news for Hyatt fans who are also Hyatt credit cardholders. As of June 14, 2024, Hyatt credit cards will earn even more points at select Mr & Mrs Smith hotels.

Here are all of the details.

Enhanced Earnings at Mr and Mrs Smith Properties

Hyatt recently acquired Mr & Mrs Smith, a collection of luxury and boutique hotels around the world. Over 700 Mr and Mrs Smith hotels were integrated into Hyatt’s portfolio in April 2024, but until now, Hyatt cardholders haven’t earned any extra points at these properties.

Now, cardholders of The World of Hyatt Credit Card and World of Hyatt Business Credit Card will earn 4x points per dollar spent at participating Mr & Mrs Smith properties. This earning matches what cardholders earn on other Hyatt properties.

Points earned from Hyatt credit cards are in addition to the points you’ll earn as a World of Hyatt member. Members earn up to 5x base points per dollar spent at most Hyatt properties as a World of Hyatt member (not including Hyatt Studios, which earn 2.5x points per dollar).

World of Hyatt elite members earn even more points on stays. Discoverists get a 10% bonus, Explorists get a 20% bonus, and Globalists get a 30% bonus.

How To Book Mr & Mrs Smith Hotels Through Hyatt

Over 700 Mr & Mrs Smith properties can be booked directly on Hyatt’s website. This opens the door to some exciting properties, many of which are in places previously without any Hyatt options.

For example, Hyatt members can now book Malliouhana in Anguilla. This luxury hotel is perched on a cliffside overlooking beautiful Meads Bay Beach.

There are 3 Mr & Mrs Smith hotels in Fiji (Royal Davui Island Resort Fiji, Vomo Island Fiji, and Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort) and 3 hotels in the British Virgin Islands (Long Bay Beach Resort, The Hideout White Bay, and The Aerial BVI). Both of these destinations previously didn’t have any Hyatt options.

Hot Tip:

Mr and Mrs Smith properties now have a spot in Hyatt’s Brand Explorer program. When you stay at least 1 night at 5 different Hyatt brands, you’ll earn a Category 1-4 free night certificate.

Final Thoughts

While the integration of Mr and Mrs Smith properties into Hyatt’s portfolio hasn’t been totally smooth sailing (there is quite a bit of criticism from Hyatt fans about the brand using dynamic pricing in lieu of Hyatt’s award chart), this is a positive development. Eligible charges made at Mr and Mrs Smith properties using the World of Hyatt card and World of Hyatt Business card now earn 4x points per dollar spent instead of just 1x points per dollar spent.
