A new 5-star Hyatt hotel is opening early next year in Rome, and it’s an absolute steal with points.

Hyatt Regency Rome Central is scheduled to open on January 12, 2026, and it’s one of the city’s most exciting upcoming hotels. Before it opens, let’s go over what you need to know about the hotel and how to book it with World of Hyatt points.

New Points Hotel Near Roma Termini

Hyatt Regency Rome Central has 238 guest rooms and suites in several room types, including some with terraces and balconies.

The hotel has 4 dining options, including a top-floor terrace restaurant serving Italian and American fare, a pool bar, and an all-day lobby bar. Amenities include a rooftop pool, a fitness center, a spa, and pet-friendly accommodations.

While the hotel itself is impressive, what will be most exciting to weary travelers after a long flight or train ride is how convenient it is.

The hotel is located in one of the most easily accessible areas in Rome, steps from Roma Termini. The station serves the Rome Metro, making it easy to get around the city. It also provides connections to Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) and other cities in Italy.

Booking Hyatt Regency Rome Central

Hyatt Regency Rome Central officially opens to guests on January 12, 2026; however, reservations are now open. The hotel will participate in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, which means you can earn and redeem points during your stay.

Cash rates start at just $240 per night, which is a solid deal for Rome. But the real steal comes from redeeming World of Hyatt points.

The hotel is a Category 4 property — the only one in the city. Award nights start at 12,000 points per night on off-peak nights and go up to 18,000 points on peak nights.

While you can book with points, this is also an excellent option for using one of your Category 1-4 Free Night Certificates with Hyatt.

As a refresher, you can earn a Category 1-4 Certificate by participating in the Brand Explorer perks or staying 30 qualifying nights (or earning 50,000 base points) in a calendar year.

Hot Tip:

One of the easiest ways to earn a free night certificate is to hold The World of Hyatt Credit Card and pay the card’s annual fee. You get 1 free night each year after your cardmember anniversary, valid at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort, and you can earn another free night after spending $15,000 on the card within a calendar year.

Final Thoughts

One of the most affordable points hotels in Rome, Hyatt Regency Rome Central, is set to open early next year. Given its central location, 5-star rooms, and affordability with World of Hyatt points, we’re incredibly excited about the hotel’s opening.
