IHG Hotels & Resorts will make its debut in Turks and Caicos with not just 1 but 3 new hotels. The new properties will be located on the coveted Grace Bay and will offer guests wonderful new options for using points to stay in Turks and Caicos.

InterContinental Turks and Caicos, Kimpton Turks and Caicos, and Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos are all due to open by 2027. While that’s still far away, let’s look at what we know right now.

IHG Will Open 3 New Hotels in Turks and Caicos by 2027

Turks and Caicos has long been a popular destination thanks to its pristine, white-sand beaches, warm Caribbean weather, fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving, and so much more. However, something the archipelago lacked was a range of points hotels to choose from.

That’s changed in recent years, and it’s soon going to get even better now that IHG has announced 3 new hotels under 3 separate brands (InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton, and Hotel Indigo) that should all be up and running by 2027.

“As we expand IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle presence across the Americas, we’re doing so with thoughtful intention. Turks & Caicos is one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular destinations, and we’re excited to mark the company’s much-anticipated debut there with our InterContinental, Kimpton and Hotel Indigo brands. These stunning havens will welcome visitors and locals alike with unique, yet complementary experiences,” said Paul Adan, regional SVP of development, Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean for IHG Hotels & Resorts.

InterContinental Turks and Caicos

The InterContinental Turks and Caicos hotel will be a brand-new build. Once completed, this resort will offer 59 suites with panoramic ocean views on the island’s famed Grace Bay Beach (one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.) Amenities will include a restaurant and bar, outdoor pool, fitness center, and a Club InterContinental lounge.

Kimpton Turks and Caicos

Kimpton Turks and Caicos will be a boutique luxury resort with 192 guestrooms. This new build will feature 3 swimming pools plus a spa and fitness center. There will be multiple restaurants and bars, including a beachfront restaurant, an indoor restaurant, a lobby bar, poolside bars, a rooftop bar, a juice bar, and a coffee and ice cream parlor. Everything that guests expect from the Kimpton brand, including morning coffee and tea service and evening happy hours, will be found at the Kimpton Turks and Caicos.

Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos

Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos will be inspired by the local neighborhood. This 56-room boutique property will consist of 2 renovated buildings plus an additional new building. An on-site restaurant and a lobby bar or coffee shop will be open to the public, while the hotel’s pool and fitness center will be reserved for guests only.

Bottom Line:

IHG will debut in Turks and Caicos with 3 new hotels (InterContinental Turks and Caicos, Kimpton Turks and Caicos, and Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos) opening by 2027.

Using IHG Points in Turks and Caicos

There aren’t any IHG properties in the Turks and Caicos islands currently, but by 2027, there will be 3. That’s exciting news, and it gives you plenty of time to earn lots of IHG One Rewards points so you’ll be ready to book as soon as they open.

In addition to earning points by staying at IHG hotels, you can also earn them by using IHG One Rewards Dining, spending on IHG’s co-branded credit cards, or by transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards points and/or Bilt Rewards points to IHG at a 1:1 ratio.

Hot Tip:

Save money getting there, too! You can use points and miles to fly to the Caribbean.

Final Thoughts

Three new IHG hotels are expected to open in Turks and Caicos by 2027 — InterContinental Turks and Caicos, Kimpton Turks and Caicos, and Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos. This is great news for fans of IHG or anyone who wants to visit the Caribbean using points. These new properties will add some great redemption opportunities to a destination that is otherwise difficult for award travel

Stay tuned for more details about these new IHG hotels.
