Next time you find yourself on a JetBlue flight, you’ll likely notice some new personal touches that have been added.

The New York-based carrier’s latest innovation is called Blueprint and comes in the form of new personal touches and functions available via the inflight entertainment (IFE) screen.

“By launching Blueprint by JetBlue, we are doubling down on our commitment to help customers create an inflight experience tailored to their needs and preferences, making their flight as comfortable as their own living rooms,” said Jayne O’Brien, head of marketing and customer support at JetBlue.

The following updates have already started rolling out on JetBlue’s AVANT touchscreen-equipped aircraft.

Let’s take a look at these additions!

Enjoy a Personalized IFE Experience on Your Next JetBlue Flight

Gone are the days of trying to start and pause your content simultaneously as your travel companion. JetBlue’s “Watch Party” allows groups of up to 5 to watch their in-flight entertainment together.

If you’re a frequent JetBlue flyer, then you’ll be able to watch TV like you would at home, thanks to some thoughtful new features.

You’ll receive recommendations based on your usual watching habits and if you don’t finish the show or film you’re watching, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off on your next flight.

The personalization doesn’t stop there: JetBlue flyers will now also be able to save content to watch next time, as well as update and permanently save certain settings such as accessibility, language, parental controls, and volume.

More Personalized Touches

Boarding a JetBlue flight and seeing your name on the IFE screen is a cute touch with which some JetBlue flyers might already be familiar.

As part of the Blueprint rollout, passengers can choose a preferred name in their JetBlue profile, which will be displayed instead of the name on their passport or driver’s license.

In addition, guests will now have access to information about their connecting flights, including the gate they need to go to upon landing.

To tie it all together, passengers who’ve yet to sign up for JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program will be able to do so through a QR code on their IFE screen.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make all the difference — such as the in-flight personalizations that JetBlue is introducing through Blueprint. Watch out for these updates on your next JetBlue flight!
